View Full Version : GC: How to import snapshots to my PC with BBA and not USB ?

I followed this (https://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=14681&group_id=70811) tutorial, kindly suggested by Sounomi, to setup my network connection. And it works, my PC and GC are now linked http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

But I want to import snapshots, and this tutorial mentions next to nothing about that.
When I browse the snapshot directory in the PSO Proxy folder it's empty, no matter what.
It does mention something about SEGANET (http://www.sega.com/community/profiles/pso_gcn/gcn_front/gcn_main.jhtml), which is absolutely irrelevant to me who lives in France.

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp !!

Any clues ?

Thanks http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Hmmmm, I followed the tutorial and had no problems with it (although I normally use the USB because its faster.)

So here is what I did exactly. I already know what my computers IP is, but if you don't follow the instructions in the tutorial. All you'll need (or at least all I needed) was the IP adress.

Now start up PSO Proxy, then start up your GC. Go to the network options section and click through everything until you get to the Proxy settings page. All you need to do is enter in your pc's IP address in the top line, then put the PSO Proxy port number in the line below (usually by default should be 8080)

Then save the info and return to the game. Then on PSO, select WebPage and when you get to the main PSO page, simply select to enter the site, thats when PSO Proxy takes over. Make sure the memory card that has your snapshots is in SLOT B, then just click to upload the pic. It will upload, and then show you the pic on screen (that means it worked.) Then go into your PSO Proxy directory and look under the SNAPSHOTS folder and you should see a .png file of your snapshot http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Also the tutorial is a bit misleading. You don't actually have to have the GC networked with your PC, I tried it using just an old hub that allowed me to share my cable connection and it worked just fine.

I did all that, all works fine http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

That becomes irrelevant here, PAL version of game does not have that option. If I choose "Homepage" (and not "Website") on main screen, I am redirected to www.playsega.com, that's all.

Sad, but there's no way to import snapshots for me : I wanted to show my chars to the world http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_cry.gif

Thanks a lot, O Tori Amos addicted one http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Ahhhh, i c. Sorry Kefka, I forgot you are using the PAL version lol. You're only other options are to use a cpature card or shell out for a USB (not worth it IMHO.) I could always take a pic/s of your char/s for you and send you the file/s. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif (like all the slashes LOL)

Which version are you trying to use? Earlier versions didn't work properly with the PAL version but the latest one (ver 0.91) is supposed to work properly with the PAL version.
