Question about untekked items and enemy parts

Why do alot of you people want the item untekked or the body part of some enemy before it's made into a weapon? I only play offline as of right now so I don't know if there's something special you can do with it online. Do you gain added percentages or something?

hm lessee..
i say unmodified parts are useless; they are mostly for collection value in this sense..
but if u can get online & w/enough pd's, u can add %s to the enemy weps

An untekked item or an unconverted body part is more likely to be legit. It's just the pattern; people don't tend to dupe their untekks.
