I know this is covering old ground, but I've found the majority of US users to be more polite and helpful than many of my UK counterparts ... even though they say odd things like 'mom' and 'color', lol.

Spose they'd complain a lot less also. http://cwm.ragesofsanity.com/otn/realhappy/winknudge.gif

Really? That's bad!

I haven't played much on the US servers to be honest, but I'm quite shocked to hear it. Americans, more polite...does not compute!

hehehehe..

I'm not an english.. but still european..
I think that it has nothing to do with the country.. I think it's just the attitude of a person.

I've met verry polite US, Japanese and Europeans on PSO.. and surely the other way too http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif

greetings from switzerland

Who knows! I'm sure everywhere has its fair share of morons, I'd have to say that the Japanese are the most polite and generous PSO players I've come across.

ok, just making a point from my personal experience, that's all http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

I think you're right about attitude tho, I'm meeting too many 13 year old UK kids demanding rares then swearing/leaving when they're not forthcoming http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_frown.gif

I don't find much difference between US/UK players - there's rotten apples in every barrel. I am suprised you find the US players markedly different.

Perhaps you find there are more people asking for rares on the EU servers because there are simply less rares due to less duping and the fact that Gamesharks are uncommon in Europe.

Mind you - one thing does amaze me. I've actually heard intelligent conversation come from a number of Americans. This suprised me as I expected any nation that could manage to elect George 'Dubya' Bush as President to be full of morons !!! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

PS. Yes I am obviously joking before anyone jumps on me.

I agree with that statement! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif I haven't really noticed much of a difference between US and European players myself, there have been good and bad in both cases. I am somewhat sensitive to this because, although born American, my mom is Dutch and my dad English, and other than my immediate family, everyone lives "over there" - and I hear more than my share of ribbing regarding "stupid Americans" from cousins and such...but I was happy to see that online, players are players no matter what soil their Dreamcast is on. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

Don't forget, not all players on the US servers are Americans. We Canadians play there too, and we're reputed to be much politer than our southern neighbours http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif

Nynaeve, You have a point there. I seem to remember the British newspapers said he was given the job by his brother Jeb and his friend Katherine.

Mind you, we can't talk. We had to postpone our election because of all the diseased animals roaming the country!

Hey, you're not the Canadian guy who told me his sister had been run over by a moose, are you?
If you are, apologies for laughing so much I thought you were joking http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif

Tyler,

I dunno - a year in London without being invaded by tourists might actually be a nice change. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

Americans (and Canadians and every other nation in the world) please come and visit us, you would be most welcome. You can even call round and I'll cook dinner for you. As long as you don't mind not visiting the countryside, helping us dig trenches to bury cows and walking through an acid bath every time you get mud on your shoes, you'll have a fantastic time.

Urgh. Must...change...subject.... *sigh*

Hmm, I got PSO the end of Jan. Bush took office the end of Jan. I wonder if my intense craving to kill nasties is somehow related to ... NAH. *grin*

Things are that bad over there, huh? Yikes, my mom is headed to Holland on Tuesday, we'll have to scrub her down when she gets home http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

*gasp* Darn it, I must have it all mixed up, that picture in my head of the guys wearing skirts and tall black fuzzy hats and wooden shoes! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif

Thanks, I know, been to both places enough - but I also know that the problems exist across the Channel - and she's making a side trip to my aunt in Bristol. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

British humour? You mean the 'toilet humour' and such as well? ^_^;

And as a note, the only place I haven't found where people demand rares is on the JP servers... ^_^

Well, you only have to see how few americans replied to this thread... i think there was the one who was part dutch.. and look at sisqua's sig to see what brit humour is like.

on a kinda side note, given that there are soem canadians playing PSO, arent they all pissed off that were all shooting those flying canadians in the mines?

as for bush, he'll probably tell all you americans that you can no longer go down to ragol, because he wants to keep american troops to america and not be the worlds police force. etc... oh god i'm bored..
