View Full Version : Rumor Confirmation?

I heard a rumor (I can't remember where, so I'm off to a bad start already x_X). But I heard that the offline Episode 2 A & B Rank Prizes are the BLue and Green Rings. Can anyone confirm this? Cause I reeeeeeeeaaaally want the rest of the rings! (Which I have in my trade list in my profile).

And if it's true, that would mean that the Black and Yellow Ring would probably be the online A & B Rank prizes? Then the only Ring left would be, obviously, Red Ring from Falz (When drop is activated).

Any words on this?

From what I've been told, you earn all the same prizes in offline episode 2 C-mode as offline episode 1 C-mode. I cannot confirm this, however, as I don't have Plus (yet).

If that were true, then the online ones would probably be the same too...

And if that's true...

I would actually try and confirm this but if Jazhara has difficulty me and my friends who I would have to force to play don't have a hope in hell.

I predict it will be new prizes actually. Maybe green and blue rings, who knows.

I'm sure one of you will be able to get through it and confirm it... which would be greatly appreciated. Only problem is either I'd have to get PSO Plus or get a really good weapon for trade >.> (And I plan to get PSO +, but I still haven't beaten offline Episode 1 challenge -_-)

Not necessarily - here's the ability level of my bunch for non-TA play (Expert/Good/Not Bad/n00b):

Risu (me) - "Expert". About 4000 hours PSO, played since US v1, several hundred levels and many characters including 3x v1 level 100 and v2 level 198, 60 S-ranks, DCTA<4hours, GCTA<4hours (needs work, no time to play grr) and about 250x lvl200 Mags raised. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Can play any class equally well.

Twisted - "Good". About 150 hours, only ever played GC, 2 characters to level 100, one online EpI S-rank, 6 offline EpI S-ranks. Our 2nd strongest player, and part-time ninja gamer.

Expert as a HUcast, not bad as FO and other HUs, has never played RA.

Slaykitten - "Good". About 80 hours, only ever played GC, 1 character to level 90, one online EpI S-rank, 5 offline EpI S-ranks. No3 in the team, and annoyingly just married, so often locked in his house when we need him. ><

Good as FO and HU, not bad as RA.

Abbadon - "Not bad". About 150 hours, only ever played GC, 1 character 1 level 100, one online EpI S-rank, 1 offline EpI S-rank. No 4 on the roster.

Expert as RA, learning HUcaseal (he needs the ATA, awww), not allowed to be FO yet. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Ruma - "Not bad". About 200 hours, played v2 and GC briefly online, 4 characters all under level 100, one online EpI S-rank, 3 offline EpI S-ranks. Joint no4 on the roster.

Good as HUcaseal, terrible as the others and banned from playing them forever! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Betsey - "n00b". About 30 hours playing, but probably 150 hours+ watching http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif, recently got GC PSO, no online EpI S-ranks, 3 offline EpI S-ranks. Not played EpII C-mode yet. The new kid on the block, and team reserve.

Not bad as HUcaseal, but a lot of simple Scape Doll-related mistakes. Learning fast. Has never tried the other classes at all.

------------------------------

The guys have spent most of their PSO time in offline C-mode, and as such only learn what I can teach watching 3 other screens along with my own! They are all keen gamers of good levels of skill though, so they learn very fast.

Also, if you look at the class balance, I nearly always have to play FO. Kitten is getting good now, which is most welcome, as I can put in waaay more damage on bosses as a HUcast than the others, except maybe Twisted. Abbadon can only really play a RA, which is useless for every EpII boss, but handy for clearing levels. He's learning HUcaseal, but can't Seabed yet. Ruma and Betsey are purely HUcaseal-only, although Ruma is learning HUcast, but again can't Seabed yet.

But the *biggest* problem we're having with C4 is Episode II experience:

Risu - Played Ult EpII to death (50 runs+), played through on all difficulties offline x4, soon to be 5. A little online Very Hard played too.
Twisted - played Seabed (only) once in Ult
Slaykitten - played through EpII on Normal, once.
Abbadon - played through EpII on Normal, Hard and Very Hard, once each.
Ruma - played through EpII on Normal, once.
Betsey - never played EpII at all, or even really seen it much.

So, clearing Temple and Spaceship was a breeze apart from the Gol Dragon as the guys have fought all the enemies in EpI offline C. Once we got to C3 (CCA), there were problems as you can expect, particularly the mini-bosses. Now we're in Seabed, it's a nightmare and the team's lack of non-Cmode play is showing - make no mistake, this is not easy, particularly at the start where all 4 players are split and can lose Scapes at the snap of yer fingers. No-one except me knows any of the boss attacks, and I don't know the patterns as well as I do EpI (need EpII TTF please Sonic Team, mmmm).

Also, I am nowhere near as good solo vs a Delbiter as I am any EpI enemy. Sure I've killed Delbiters plenty in Ult Tower, but I've never killed them with a 0% brand at level 23 where I can't take a single hit! Seabed enemies need to be fought very differently to almost all others, particularly in C-mode. We're learning though, by the time it comes out online I should be pretty handy.

------------------------------

So, what I'm saying is - don't put yourself or your team down, just get on with it and go for it. Sheer determination will be the only thing that gets us through, with maybe a little dose of luck if Betsey's playing. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
