c-mode noobie needs help

I'm playing offline challenge mode with one other guy and everything was all good until I hit the grassy area right outside the central dome area. We saw this card like thing and tried everything on it. We tried to attack it, we teched it, tried hitting switches. I'm desparate man!

Oh, in that room, there is a red button on the ground. Also there is a blue laser fence. Have on person stand by the laser fence, and the other hit the button (which opens the laser fence). Have him go in and take the warp. Now you'll be in a room with two warps. Take the warp DIRECTLY behind you. Then you'll see a switch. Hit it, and take yet another warp. That switch will open the door (or "the card thingy") so your other teammate can come in. Now your just 1 room away from the dragon. Good luck.
