Alot of people here already know everything (if not more) about what I'm going to say - but this is for those who don't k? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Every where I go, it seems people are in the process of looking for a new comp or upgrading their existing one...

I just got my new comp and wanted to offer a piece of advice: Build it yourself! (^_-')

Using newegg (http://www.newegg.com) (overnight + free shipping) I got the best available comp for 2700$. That may seem like alot, but lets just say that currently my comp beats the highest end Alienware comp by 40-90fps in every benchmark - which is saying alot considering that the system sells for over 4000$ and I'm not overclocking.

If thats not enough to deter you from going company made - then maybe the fact that Alienware sent my laptop to me broken 3 times in a row is lol

Don't let the task of building your cpu frighten you - its relativly easy, and for newer parts its practically plug and play. Just be sure to take your time and don't rush anything. This was my first time building a comp and it came out fine, which considering my short attention span and clutsy fingers is saying alot.

Perhaps you don't care or don't mind spending extra for company comps (I don't blame you, the new dells aren't too shabby) - but nonetheless I just wanted to offer my 2 cents, so if you are looking for a new comp you will be ever so slightly more informed.

My comp if your interested is:
-AMD 64 FX-51
-Radeon 9800xt
-1GB XMS Corsair
-Soundblaster Audigy ZS
-2x 73GB Raptors in RAID0 with a 2.1ms seek

I replaced everything on my computer out of my own ($7/week) allowance ...
Now, I have a CD-R/RW drive, a 56x CD-ROM thingy, a 80 GB HD, and optical mouse that lights up, and a very crappy moniter that can't display red...
It was fun.
I'm done now....

I've been wanting one of these (http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=OCzAG6zzLfrAPJMJTc_KEOP9XYva2_cWbTk=?Pro ductSKU=PCVW510G) since last year ...
Other than that ...
I like the wireless LAN thingy in the Z1 model. The W Series thingy just has a very nice shell/moniter... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
