*Blushes*

I have to say that M_BlackHawk's fiction Back from the Abyss is one of my favorites, great concepts and cool action. His Darkness Falz fic is also pretty cool, and I was very happy with how his Dark History worked out. I had helped a bit with that one with some of the concepts that we've been working with for the past year or so.

Of course I like M_BlackHawk's fics alot because they have a lot to do with mine. Lol, sorry, I'm just being honest.

There was this one fic written a while back that had a really neat way of telling the story. I just can't remember what its name is or who wrote it.

Not counting my own fics - my vote goes to the saga of Sin-Mayhem by haterade back two years ago. It's what inspired me to create the Insa-Type androids.

There's been a great deal of fanfics, and I must admit I usually get absorbed into my own. Unfortunately, I've not read a whole lot of those that I didn't write myself.

The most novel fic I've ever read, however (and I certainly don't mean "novel" in terms of size), is "AngelGal's Everlasting Battle for Hope (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=58657&forum=12)". It's a very light read, and I personally found it quite entertaining. So that's where my vote goes.

Oh, and of course, a quick thanks to everyone who mentioned my series. You're all awesome, and you get one of these--

I read the story about the Insa-series from Kodiax's sig link, and it definitely qualifies as my favourite PSO fanfic. Scary as hell though. Poor Montague.

I also like the Do Hucasts saga and Nights and Fuji. I really need to get round to reading a few more fics though.

I liked Auto_'s The Six Ghosts, and I'm liking Mitigate so far. I've read and enjoyed Kodiax' most recent effort, and I'm trying to read Meira's fic in what little bit of time I have, there are more things I'd like to read but just don't have time for.

I'm also, of course, somewhat partial to my own sad little splotch of a fic. Nobody else actually reads it except two or perhaps three people, but even though nobody else reads or likes it, I'm still fond of it, the way you're fond of a child that gets in trouble constantly and fails at everything it tries, but you like it anyway, because it's your child. *shrug* Poor little bastard fic.

Reminds me, I haven't even started chapter seven. Poor bastard fic. I want to write it, and I want people to like it, but only the first one has any chance in hell of happening, and even that is potentially unlikely. *snrk*

I am not much a fic reader because once I start reading I don't usually stop, and you see a problem right there. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Personally, my fav fic is the Recollection fic, that is why I have only agreed to do piccies for all the recollection ficcies. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif I do like Ian's for a little change of pace. I've been trying to avoid reading others' stories to avoid "contamination." Of the ones I've read (not including my own not only because that'd be unfair but also because I personally hate my own fic) I'd have to say Garanz's (forgot the exact name) or The Angelus Saga. u can't really choose ONE fave fic. well at least i can't. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

so, in no particular order:

the recollection series (not forgetting the recollection of captain tyler), as everyone has already pointed out, because lets face it they are great

the blackhawk fics - very good indeed

auto's the six ghosts and what ive read of of migate

deathscythe and the amazing do hucasts series

bfbrrr (i really should finish that, sorry i haven't been keeping up garanz!)

the human-newman conflict by the talented mquantum

defeats finest hour by logical2u (not just because my character features! when r u gonna start writing that again logical?)

ion swimming yua - the actually quite scary fic in process (and has been for a while http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif) by nerd.

the oft overlooked rebirth and resurrection by SS_death is worthy of mention.

and the MIA team burning by cakeman. it was unfinished, really just an excuse to write peoples characters into a fic and incoherent, but dam it had its rib-tickling moments.

...........can't really think of any others at the minute, but i would give butoden's booma comic's a mention. technically not a fic, but still worthy of a mention http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif.

keep up the good work ficcers!

PEACE!!!

Hmmm...

I like the recollection saga. It is a saga after all. I like long stories, like my low-key one. Right now I'm pushing for 300. I think only 54 people read mine(54x5 chapters= about 272 then include my many views of my own fanfic...

Anyways, all the fanfics I read push me to write my own. I think "wow, I want to write like this/ be liked this much as a writer." It pushes me to at least try hard.

I really need to get more into the reading of other people's fics, but I really like Wolf's. And Garanz2's ending was one of those that make you say "I'm gonna shoot that guy if he stops there." Then he started his other one, and now I'm saying "I'm gonna shoot him if he doesn't get something else up soon..."

And group fics seem to turn out rather.... interesting...

:look of guilt:

I liked what I read of Ian's fic so far, and it isn't a bastard fic--I'm the bastard for not keeping up with it. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Uhh lesse...

I really like a lot of the OLD fanfics from authors who aren't even at PSOW anymore (read part of Kodiax')...especially the short stories.

I really liked NewUltimate's first fic, but not mainly by the fic itself. NewUltimate was one of the few fanfic writers who went all out--and I really admired and respected that (he had sound clips for each chapter and frequently did his own art).

I guess to summarize:

I need to read more fics before I can make "favorite" story judgement.

Yeah - very few are those who write AND draw, and fewer are those who illustrate their own fics. Those guys are lucky bastards...

The problem with us requesters is that we're always bound by some awkward code of request ethics - we want a really detailed pic but at the same time we don't want to overburden the artist or make him think we're taking him for a god who can do anything. After all, pics aren't paid for, so the artists are kinda doing us a favor by agreeing to do the drawing.

Man, diplomacy is so complicated.

HUnewearl_Meira

See KodiaX, that's why I just like to tell the artist to just use their own judgement. Give them an idea of what I want, and let them exercise their creative freedom. You'll often be surprised at what you get. That picture that Navi did for Crankshaft, for example, is nearly EXACTLY what I had in mind.

I wish I could still write... Had writers block for a year and a half now. Can't seem to get my thoughts out right when I write them down any more. That's either due to my turn to drawing instead of writing or because of my depression medication... Not sure which.

I was hesitant to start a fic because I had a lot of darker material in mind then what was floating around at the time (atleast what I was reading), but I think it was Blackrose's fic that sort of eased me into it.

Long live violence!

My scanner doesn't work, it conflicts with programs and I don't want to mess with it or my mom would freak out if something went wrong afterward. I'd end up being blamed.
