Purple Ring/Davil's Tail Glitch

This may have been posted before.

A little glitch found out while playing with someone with Davil's Tail mag.

Here is a Davil's Tail, in it's original colors:

When you equip a Tail while a Purple Ring is equipped, or start a game with it equipped while someone has Purple Ring equipped, you get this color:

And, if there is a normal colored Tail equipped the game, and a Purple Ring gets equipped, it looks like this:

So far, this is the only color glitch I have found with the Purple Ring and Davil's Tail. The Tail only changes with Purple, and i haven't tried other mags with the Ring. feel free to test it out, i assume it's only glitchy with Purple Ring for some odd reason.

Reminds me of the Zanba/ Barbura Ray texture swap as well... Strange is it perhaps because ST made the textures interchangeable? And if so for what reason? Or is it just a failing to see possible gliches with textures. (I'm going with the latter myself)

well, another popular one is the MKB/BKB swap

hmm. cool!

it seems like it would be like this on purpose, but those items (ring/tail) dont seem to have anything to do with eachother.

I have some screen but no way to get it onto my comp. Anyways, I deposited my stuff, all of it into the check room, and I fsoded in the lobby. Well when I logged back on took out my burger and went to forest, the bun was green!! To fix it I just dropped it and picked up again but lol that was funny

I do wonder if this works with the other rings. I can't test it cause I don't have this mag but I do have a purple ring. This does look pretty nifty, and it matches that FOne quite well. And the zanba texture swap is pretty nifty too...XD

Mag feeding would have nothing to do with it. And no, there was not.

I tested with Devil Wings. You may test with other mags but i highly doubt there is another one that will glitch like this.

Stats have nothing to do with the look ov Davil's Tail.

I remember the first time I used my purple ring, I kept asking people why it was yellow/gold... But everyone else still saw it as purple. Then someone else in the team equipped their purple ring to see if theirs would be yellow/gold, and it was purple, even to me! If this hadn't happened to me, I wouldn't even see that as a glitch. But if it doesn't change for everyone in the team, then it can't be normal...

I have had other gliches other than the ones aforementioned. I made a lime-green mind Pushan for my FOmarl, about a week before those stupid 1304 mags came out... Stupid 1304s... Anyway I had it equipped and noticed it looked different. I couldn't figure out what until I got a good look at it. The ears and tail had turned the bright green color of the wings! It looked pretty cool but once I returned to Pioneer 2 for fluids and came back it had reset. I also had it happen to my RAmar with an orange Pushan. Strange little critters those Pushan are...
