That's a modifier for finding the card mentioned. So if it says Scenario 5 and 1P Offline 6, then the chances of finding it are better in the Story (Scenario) mode than in the free battle Mission Mode.

Basically, take it like this.
You draw a card from the black booster pack. Depending on what CLVL you are, there is a pool of cards to draw, with each card having a certain number of cards in that pool (so a listed 7 Card would have 7 cards in that pool). The game randomly picks out one card from that pool, and that's the card you get, so having more cards in that pool is obviously better.

Another example, a little more graphical
Say yu're CLVL 1, and the only cards that exist in the game at that cutoff are
Punch (at a 10 in this mode)
Sword (at a 5)
Dagger (at an http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_cool.gif
Al Rappy (at a 4)

When you draw a new card from the black booster pack, ther booster pack has 27 cards in it possible, and randomly grabs a card from it. So you've got a 10/27 for a Punch, 5/27 for a Sword, and so on.

I'll list the availabilities of cards as soon as I can. I know the other pack colors raise probabilities, but I didn't see by how much, I'll re-read and see if I can find that out.

What's the point of using the red ring? Can't the most that can be equipped at a time be 8, so if you equipped the ring, you would only be able to equip a one dot item.

Doesn't seem very smart...

True, but you can toss on a 1 cost weapon, like the good old Frying Pan or a Handgun, and use that for a little punch. The ring itself halves any damage over 6, making it last longer, and reflects attacks back half the time. BAsically, you use it to make the enemy kill itself without you having to do a thing.
