Eh, She looks ok at the least but i could still use some Proportion Practice...

I see what you mean about it appearing manly from a non-pso stans point, mainly the head.

I think it may be the chin shape, the slightly high-raised shoulders (they're usually about even with the neck, right?), and maybe the eye placement (or eyebrow placement, something...)

No one of those things on its own would make it seem masculine, but combined, it does in my opinion. And that doesn't matter much when it comes to art. *nods*

And the swirly thing on the first picture, I SWEAR looks like the Spiral screensaver, the 60's one it think.

*hangs head in shame* I wouldn't call that exactly a good guide to proportions. Maybe if you wanted an extremely busty out of proportion lady with way too much cleavage that would be good... No, I suggest finding someone to model for you.

EDIT: As for me, when I need to draw females, I use myself, my sister, or one of my friends as a model. Of course, using yourself as a model for a female only works if you ARE female...

Thats prolly why my proportioning sucks! I barely EVER do the "rough sketchie lines and framing to get the right proportions!" I just go straight to the image, doing light outlines (with 2H pencil) if needed.

That's what i used to do. Then i saw Batou's way of doing framing. I had always been taught the stick figure. But he used polygons, so much easier for me. I went from a really crappy one that was way out of wack, to one that looked realistic, with some misporportion on the arms and head/face. Faces look bad to, but that's my fault, frame doesn't effect that.

You could always do what I do and use both stick figures and polygons. I start with a stick frame, and put basic polygons on it, making it what I've dubbed a "glorified stick figure". Then I pile on details.

Or sometimes I just do the whole thing details and all right off the bat, which I know I'm not supposed to do.

That wouldn't work for me, i could never get the lines right, lengths are such a hassle, and then what if the arm is to long for how big you want it? Then you have to start the arms over. I just prefer to stick with polygons, it's also easier for me to do it without having to use a ruler to measure. Now if i could only draw naturally straight lines.

Arnisan has the del rappy pic from ep3 in his sig. He's also cheekily labelled it; "The one, the only, Del Rappy!" However, I created Del and BFBRRR months before that screenshot was released. ST stole my idea!

Not that I can really do anything about it. maybe I could introduce a character called Sega into IHTIF, and get del to kill him every chapter, like cybernetix in Nights and Fugi...
