My HUcast uses a Chain Sawd. But from what I've seen, Red Sword is the strongest of the sword types I've seen excluding the tjs and dark flow.

Those are the best aside from the TJ and Dark Flow. Of them I'd say the Red Sword is the best overall.

When I made a thread a while ago comparing the Red Partisan to the Sword, and almost everyone agreed that the Partisan is better. Why? Look at the ATP of the Red Sword. 400-600. Big variety. Look at the Chainsawd. 500-525. I like Chainsawd better, and I prefer the special.

I think the reason people pick the Partisan over the Sword is because A) It attacks faster, and B) It doesn't leave you standing open and useless for a minute after the third attack in the combo.

Isn't it only like 6 ATA more? I have both (legit and no hit on either), and use the Sword mainly because I got it first and it's grind makes it so much better, but at start or at full, I think the partisan might be on top.

Oh and BTW, as for all this best sword business, what about the S-Rank, how does it rank up?

On another note: it may not be rare rare, but to find one with decent hit% would be pretty uncommon, a Charge Calibur is definately one of the best swords.

Chainsawd. Why? It has a much more consistant damage pattern than that of the Red Sword. It is easier to find, and more likely to be found with hit or higher percents due to that. It also is just fun to swing around a big chainsaw. I tend to do about 50 or so more damage with my fully ground Chainsawd than my fully ground Red Sword. That alone was reason enough for me.

The SRank Sword is DEFINITELY one of the best swords in the game. Fully ground (yikes, that will take a while) it adds a consistent 700 ATP always. And 35 ATA. That make it an uber-reliable sword, it looks fairly cool (not as cool as Red Sword, of course), and you can name it, and even add a special. Sadly, no percents...

If you can't get an S-Rank, or you don't like C-mode, then the Red Sword, and Chain Sawd are probably best. Of course, you could just uneal your Sealed J Sword and get the best sword, but killing 23,000 monsters would take quite some time...and besides, hardly anyone would believe that it's legit. Not that what they think matters at all...

So, in closing, about the Best non-TJSword Sword is a fully ground S-Rank Sword. Other winners include the Chain Sawd and the Red Sword. Those are the top, at least.

And there's always Crazy Tune. XD

the dragon slayer is a good one thats easy to find looks cool and does descent damage. the zanba is good and my red sword and my chainsawd do about the same damage 400at least.those are the best other thane the tjsword and the flow.

Dragon Slayer not only looks cool, but it's fairly common for Skyly and Oran, so you have good chances of finding one with Hit.

Zanba's very good, but it's male only. IMO, Females do better with swords...also, keep in mind that finding your own will be incredibly difficult...

Red Sword and Chain Sawd are also nice...

If you unseal a SJS, then the TJSword is really tough to beat. Although, both the Chain Sawd and Red Sword (Maybe even Crazy Tune) beat it in looks.

No, Dark Flow sucks. It's innaccurate, and it doesn't combo. It's only got 60 more ATP than a TJS, and since the TJS combos, it's the better weapon. Also, you're more likely to have some spare PB than to be in the yellow, especially in Ult.
