Is there anything special you can get in the download quest Central Dome Fire Swirl? I only got 5000 Meseta for completion. There was an odd guy in the shop area that asked me if I had anything to show him though...

Not to my knowledge no, but on higher difficulties its amazingly good for leveling as there are so many enemies.
