Yeah, he's got a rather cliched name for a FOmar, but "Hiei" is so much fun to say... *G*

Um... Yeah. Drew this for my sister in a couple of days. Sorry for all those other people that have requests, but it's so much easier for me when I have the pose handed to me, and I know EXACTLY what the character looks like.

At any rate, the colours still need some smoothing and I have no idea whatsoever what to do for a background (any ideas would be really welcomed). Sorry, my scanner put lines over it... Those aren't really on the pic.

(er, yes, I did borrow the pose from Rurouni Kenshin... *G* My sister saw a pic of Kenshin like this and said something like "OOOh! Draw Hiei like this for me!" So I did.)

Wow, it's odd that I like all the mistakes in this picture.
Like the scanner lines. They really give him some focus and make him look...better; more powerful at least.
And the Agito being too short for it's sheath? You know, in feudal Japan, ninja's swords did the same thing so that they could hide messages or powder in the final six inches.
But don't get me started on the ninja thing, or I'll never shut up. It's one of the few topics that can get me talking incessantly. That, and one of those little toy dogs named "Flipsie" that flip and bark, then take a few steps forward, and flip again. Man, I love those things...
Uh...Right! Nice pic, LJR! But like I said, I like the mistakes and I think it adds character to Hiei. But what do I know? I'm just a writer.

I did some slight RGB corrections to make it darker, and bolder tones. I can't think of a background either, but I thought I'd show you what I did.

How to catch a Yoinker: You know, you could just you Zonde to paralyze him, then freeze his legs to the ground so he can't run when the paralysis wares off. Then take the picture and light his hair on fire with foie. Or if he's an andoid, just fry his circuits with Gizonde.

I'm not entirely sure that this particular pose was in the anime version of Kenshin... But it's a divider between "chapters" in the first graphic novel.

I've been drawing since eighth grade (about five years), when I went on a massive Sailor Moon fanart binge. *laughs* I wanted to draw like Naoko Takeuchi so badly, and now I don't even like her art very much.

Yes, we sometimes watch the show (and read the manga). There's also a volcano called Mt. Hiei in Japan. It's just a very fun word to say, so I used it as a name when I wanted a FOmar.

from what i remember of Yu-Yu Hakusho, Hiei was evil, until he joined Yusuke on a mission. the drawing really does depict Yu-Yu's Hiei before he changed. i like it.
