Help with piping for rares

I'm a blueful and I know a hilditor drops heaven punisher but I have piped over 60 or more times and no hilditor yet.. I know this trick works because i do it for pal rappies in the fake in yellow offline quest.

Maybe the Hidelt to Hildetor is less frequent that El Rappy to Pal Rappy because Hildetors are FRIGGIN' SCARY!!!

It's 1/205. The number of pipes required to find one is random. Sometimes you will get one after the first pipe, and other times after the 500th pipe. The longest number of pipes I went through for one was 435 and the shortest was 1. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

If you are serious about getting a HP, don't think you'll have one by Sunday evening. It can easily take you 3 or 4 months of casual piping before you find one.

Piping is a little trick (no, it wont make you a cheater to pipe, so dont worry about it) that is based in the fact that, when offline, repeat, OFFline, everytime you go down a pipe into an area with enemies, the game resets them, as long as they havent been hurt.

That means that, if you enter an area crowded with El Rappys, you go up to P2, and then back down, Tadaaah!!! you might get a Pal Rappy for free! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif Same goes for Hildeblue, Hildetorr, Al Rappy, Nar Lily, Mil Lily and Pouilli Slime. I think I'm not forgetting any rare enemy.

It's pretty useful in Vhard or Ult, when it turns out that one of those rare enemies drops a neat rare to your character's ID.

I always thought piping was kind of dumb to be honest. I mean, its got to be the most boring thing you could possibly do in PSO. If you want to get rare weapons, play the game properly or you might as well just get some dupes of someone.

I'm pretty sure that even if they have been hurt the game will still reset them. SOmetimes in the Fake in Yellow I get mad and start popping caps in the rappies before i set the pipe. But anyway

Some people are offline so they cant just pick up a dupe from someone although I agree piping is boring as shit. You might as well do runs of a certain area where your rare may drop, you'll at least level up a bunch, unless theres like a 1/2 chance the rare enemy will drop whatever youre looking for, because if you finally find the rare enemy after 3 hrs of piping and it doesnt drop what you want it starts to wear on you.

Some advice for piping:
Make sure that you are piping 4 Hildelts (Forest of Sorrow last room, guide seen above); 2 if piping in multiplayer offline.
Make sure you are offline.
It may take several hours, I have gone 2.5 hours piping for Hildelts, and none appeared; just keep going, or take a break every now and then.

i just want to mention that excessive piping can harm the cube's diskdrive and can cause disk read errors.
i dunno if its the same with x-box, but its likely.

The difference is that the weapons you earn via piping are legit and earned by you (ie. you deserve to have them) while the ones from a duper are duped and you don't deserve them.
