ah i think red slimes r the hardest ones to find out of the rare enemies. I usually spent 30 mins- 2 hours b4 i find a rare enemy(piped 4 hildatorr once but spent 3 hours so i gave up).Hope that helps you. What are u looking 4 neway a lavis cannon?

.... you slit one into 4, then you pipe... I never piped for slimes but I believe they're still 4 when you come back... if not, maybe that's why everyone's saying it's so painful?!

Yes you split one into 4 and pipe out, but when you return you only see one. You have to split them again. And theres a place in Caves 2 of Addicting Food (offline quest) where you see 2 slimes at one time. So you split them into 8. Thats the best spot to pipe. When i started going after the lavis cannon, my first slime came within 10 minutes. Restarted quest, and seen another within a half an hour. Then the rest of em took over an hour. Ive seen 7 now with redria. As for being a weapon being worth the time it takes to pipe... Lavis is not imo, unless you have the synestas laying around. But if its an easy drop, for a good weapon, like demo comet, then ya its defanatly worth it.

I'm sorry but i don't really understand something...you say that once you split them in 4 and return from your pipe there is just one slime so what is the point in dividing it before piping??
Does the red slime can come from the dividion of the common slime??
Thanks a lot for you help!!

you have to split each slime if you hunt for red ones. rare enemies get set during loading the area. you have to trigger them to come out.
if you - while piping - killed one of them, this one will never drop an item, even though when you piped up and down and its by chance, a red one.

best casual way to find red slimes :
online, towards the future quest up to caves.
then, before or after de rol le, restart.
there are 20 slimes in there (5 x4) so good luck.

Another one though:i'm only playing offline or eventually in multiplayer games so what is the best way to see a rare hilbebear, blue rappy or red slime??

Episode 1 Rare Enemies (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=723)
Episode 2 Rare Enemies (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=839)

Both guides explain best places to pipe and what quest has the most in normal runs (for online).

Screw piping.

I did a quest, wanting to find a rare lilly in Ultimate (stupid name, I can't remember it!), and I found a Red Slime (my first anyway!) by accident, and got a Guard Wave from it.

I wanted to do CCA, so I was going through the temple and I found my first love rappy, and it dropped a Light Relief.

I can't stand piping, I'd rather just do runs and get experience off of it...

Thanks for the answers!!
A final question: Suppose that my ID says that i can get the X weapon by killing a rare rappy in Ult Forest.I decide to do a special quest and pipe until i get the damn rappy...is there an importance of the difficulty level i'm making the current quest?? (in that exemple must i do it in Ult or normal is sufficient??)
Thanks for your insight!!

Yeah. Each Difficulty has diffrent items...but Normal only has like 2 or 3 rares...and those are very hard finds...but in each difficulty, enimies will/may drop diffrent items. If they do,They will not drop the other rare that they had in the other difficulty.

Hope I understood what you said and answered correctly...http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Let me put it this way:

Sonic Team programmed each enemy to drop something different in each difficulty... e.g, I found a rare Hildeblue in normal mode that dropped a General/Body if I'm correct, now if the game was in Ultimate mode, that rare Hideltorr could have dropped me a Syncasta, or however you spell it.

ST programmed each enemy to drop a different item. However, different enemies in different difficulties can drop the same item (Oran and Cross Scars). Just go to IGN's drop chart guide for the ratios, or the drop charts on this site. They will list what every enemy can drop other then the standard monomate, etc.

Well you almost answered in the correct way..i'll try to put it more simply...The question is:if i can get the rare X weapon in forest untimate, will it also work in a forest quest of the same difficulty level??
Thanks a lot for your help!!

No... essentially, you cannot get the sealed J-Sword from a Gi-Gue in normal Ep.2!

Basically, each mode is set like this.
Normal: Hard to get crap rares.
Hard: Easy to get crap rares.
V.Hard: Easy to get decent rares.
Ultimate: Extremely friggin hard to get the good rares.

Yeah i know that it won't work in such a difference!
i was just wondering if the area where you can get a weapon would also include the quests areas (like the forest...)
Thanks a lot http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Yes they do. You can do a forest quest and still get it, as long as it is in the same difficulty.
