Just out of curiosity, which offline quest has the most Gran Sorcerors in it? It had better NOT be The Retired Hunter, I only found like 2 in that one...

the answer to that would be doc's secret plan with 10. that's the gamecube so i hope that's the system you need it for.

Yep, Docs Secret Plan! But the Gran Sorcerer's are so evil! I hate them! Grants them back!

I quite like them. 5 sorcerer's arms in total! ehehe!

Excellent! 10 per run is great! What about Dubchics? Which quest has a lot of those? OFFLINE, GC.

dubchics is doctor ostos research, I think. It has 6 in the first room.

Quest Enemy Count Guides (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=listarticles&secid=50)

Osto's Reasearch and Unsealed Door both only have 4 in the first room.

Whole quest- Unsealed Door
First Room- Both have same, but you have to scroll through less text in Osto's Research.

So, if I want to find the item (Vhard Redira Dubchic for a Cure/Paralysis) I should do either the first room of Osto's Research, of full runs of Unsealed Door?

Correct. I prefer the Osto's Research, since the beginning text is shorter, and you don't have to put up with Mome.

Ah, okay. Mome is...rather annoying...

At least he plays dead in the GC Version. X.x...

Are the odds of Pinkal getting a Sorceror's Right Arm slim-to-none? I'd imagine so...http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

No, Sorcerer's Arm is not that rare, and by no means impossible to get. C'mon, I'm hunting for HANDGUN:GULD in WHITILL !!!!!

Look, I'm a MASTER at this subject. If your looking for Dubchics then do Doctor Ostos Research. The first room has 4 gilchics, then you take a left through the corrider with traps where you have to fight some hunter, (hes weak and probably won't take you more than a couple hits), then go straight through that door with the room which contains, I believe, 7 dubchics? Correct me if I'm wrong. Then just pipe back and up do the quest again. Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

The reason I say to not do Unsealed Door is for a couple of reasons. First, you have to beat Doctor Ostos Research to unlock it, that takes time. Second, you have to have annoying MOME follow behind you. Third, in the room where you normally have to fight that weak hunter, in Unsealed Door you have to go through a bunch of Gilchics, somewhere around 10 I believe. So it takes longer to get to the Dubchics.

Hope that helps you decide. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Eh, yeah, I suppose hutning down Handgun:Guld in Whitil must be pretty brutal. All those runs must be boring. *gives Kefka a bunch of duped DISK Vol.3* http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

And I know it's kinda nitpicky, but in terms of rarity, could you compare it to a similar drop? You know...or something...-.-

First, when you try to compare drops, the most important thing to look at is the number of monsters in the Area/Quest.

For instance, the GREENNILL YASMINKOV 3000R from Mine Gillchich has the same drop rate as the Sorcerer's Right Arm, but it's much easier to come by Gillchich that it is to come by Gran Sorcerer.

I'll list some similar drop rates, anyway :
REDRIA : RED SABER from Tollaw
REDRIA : MONKEY KING BAR from Dolmolm
SKYLY : God/Arm from Forest Gulgus-gue
SKYLY : ZANBA from Sinow Zele
PURPLENUM : God/Mind from Caves Hidoom
PURPLENUM : ANTI ANDROID RIFLE from VR Temple Merlan
PINKAL : Magic Rock "Moola" from Mine Dubchich
PINKAL : PLANTAIN LEAF from Ul Gibbon
WHITILL : ASUKA from Canune
WHITILL : METEOR CUDGEL from Ruins Arlan
GREENNILL : Cure/Paralysis from Bulclaw
GREENNILL : YASMINKOV 2000H from VR Temple Del-D
BLUEFULL : GUARDIANNA from Ruins Del-D
BLUEFULL : IMPERIAL PICK from Dolmdarl
ORAN : ANCIENT SABER from VR Spaceship Gulgus-gue
ORAN : TWIN CHAKRAM from Sinow Zoa
VIRIDIA : FLAME VISIT from Ruins Merlan
VIRIDIA : FATSIA from Gee
YELLOWBOZE : KASAMI BRACER from Sinow Blue
YELLOWBOZE : HEART OF POUMN from Del Lily

Hmm, so in general, it doesn't seem too rare, actually. Red Saber from Tollaw, eh? Hmm...*thinks* Oh well, I'll just keep slaughtering those pesky Sorcerors. BTW, what kind of techs are they most vulnerable to? The Gees are weak to Zonde, but Rafoie doesn't hurt the Sorceror himself much...

Tech casting gem is weak to lightning, healing gem is weak to fire, Sorcerer is weak to light.

Caduceus rocks!!
3 Grants from my FOmar and the Sorceror is toast http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif He doesn't have time for a single attack!

I've done Doc's Secret Plan too many times to count (can finish it now in 15 - 20 mins), and the only red drops from those damn Sorcerors were 2 photon drops http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

(touching up)
Bee L is weak against Zonde-type techniques, Bee R is weak against Foie-type techniques, and Gran Sorcerer is weak against Grants. And yes, Caduceus is the pwnzer!

I take this time to wonder why the stats for the Bees/Gees weren't added to Bestiary when I gave them along with the rest of them. Oh well. Here's their resists.

Gee L:
EFR: 100
EIC: 100
ETH: 30
ELT: 80
EDK: 100
ESP: 100

Gee R:
EFR: 30
EIC: 80
ETH: 100
ELT: 100
EDK: 100
ESP: 100

They both have 1097 HP as well.
