Photon Sphere

I was looking at the guides and got myself to the Photon Drop guide. I looked over the items, and found their sorces and what not. But what is a Photon Sphere?
Is it used like a Photon Booster, to make weapons change? I would really like to know, thanks.

Photon Spheres are used to add %-age to any weapon's attributes, except Hit%. Also you can't do this to S-Rank weapons or some of the weapons that are made through item combinations, like the Black King Bar.

That guide didn't say anything about adding %s to BKBs or other items that were made.

Actually, you can't. You can add %-ages to the MKB, and the %-ages will carry over when you use the blue-black stone. But you can't add %-ages once you have made the change.

They basically add to your attack against the monsters that are attributed to the ones you have %-ages in. So basically if you have 50% in Native. You're attack power will increase against monsters that are Native (Boomas and the such). The 50% is added to the ATP increase you get from the weapon that has the %-ages.

So let's say you have a gun that adds +100 ATP with 50% Native. When you attack a monster that is Native, the gun will insetad add 100 + (0.5)*100 = 150 ATP. This only applies to Native monsters though. Hope that helped.

There are 4 areas you can add %'s to: Native, Altered, Machine and Dark. If you added 10% to Native, your weapon will do an extra 10% of damage to any Native monsters (ie. Forest creatures.) You can have %'s in any 3 areas (including hit, which btw is the only % stat that you can't increase.) So if you a weapon with say 15% hit you would only be able to add %'s to 2 other areas. Native, Altered, Machine and Dark stats can be brought up to 100%.

Heh its not that you "might" be mistaken, you ARE mistaken http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif Trust me it works, back when the quest for adding %'s first can out, I raised copies of alot of my weapons to all 100's (where applicable.) That included BKB, Snow Queen, Guld Milla etc. ALL weapons except S ranks can have stats raised.
