Disconnected when someone entering

What causes disconnecting when someone enters a game? And why does it take a very, very long while sometimes before I can act when trying to see games in a lobby? I`d like to know this and I`m sure others would like to know aswell how to prevent this or what to do in case of. Thanks alot in advance,
