Does anyone here play DDR? Haha, I thought it would be the dumbest thing ever, but the I actually played it. I got hooked, and I've played all of the games. =P if you don't play it, I qould suggest trying it.

I go to the arcade for the Silent Scope machine. It's either that, or DDR.

My case was exactly like Kirby's. My brother (not Greg, the other one, if you're keeping track for some strange reason) bought Konamix for PSX and a pad, and I thought he was crazy. So one summer day I was bored, and I took it out. It was amazing, probably the most fun I had had playing videogames in a while. I haven't played it in a while though, unfortunately.

Oh, and about the arcade thing, like Greg said, we don't have one. We were going to have one built, but then a committee of righteous and virtuous soccer moms protested because "kids would cut class to go to the arcade," and "bullies would steal money from other children to use in the arcades." Stupid adults.

I frankly thought it was pretty neat.

My rather "large" friend bought it, but he never got around to using it. So, I borrowed his flimsy $20 slippable pad and DDRMAX.

That was October. Here I am with my KONAMI pad and DDRMAX2. Now I'm entering Heavy Mode (!@#$ing . But I'm taking a break from things because I'm trying to figure out how to buy a metal pad. While people are coughing up $300 on Red Octane, I see some going for a mere $100 on eBay.

I hate the stunt bar with a passion. The game is called Dance Dance Revolution for a reason, and unless you freestyle some breakdancing on four arrows, leaning back on the bar while completely facing forward is not dancing. Not even tech-ing either. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Even the DDR player community has some interesting stories to tell, from breaking limbs (it's not their fault...usually), to the fuckers who try to mimic them on another pad...worse yet, mess them up. Of course, there has been the occasional case of pushing a person onto their ass while playing, and kicking out the loser. X3

If you'll excuse me, I need to study crossovers.

I love DDR.

Been playing for over a year now but the only game I have is Konamix..

Gonna go to the arcade this week and play Extreme with my friends. I'm trying to pass Sakura, which will be my first 10 foot song that I pass. It's insanely fast though.

Yeah been playing since about October. Better than most of the people around here...although since I've been playing strictly at home, I've been getting lazy. I'm not getting as many perfects as I should be. I went to the arcade and did poorly, almost failed every song I played. :/

I guess this is where I get a job, and start going to the arcade more often.

Ok, for any DDR fan or just somebody willing to read a good comic, go read the 10k Commotion.

http://www.10kcommotion.com/index.html

It's a cool comic about DDR players going to this huge (imaginary) tournament in Hawaii. Unfortunately the site's down at the moment due to using up all its bandwith (so I probably shouldn't be posting a link... oh well) but it's happened before. It'll be back and better than ever!
