Forces and Merges??

I was wondering if the other players using Forces are equipping Merges.It's obvious that the Resta Merge can be pretty good but in the overall,the stats bonus of the Merges aren't very usefull and since i'm only level 76 in Ultimate,i am very reluctant in using it...i've made several attempt to them and none of them has convinced me!
What do you think about this??

My lv 132 fonewearl has been using the same Red Merge since lv 24.

hm, i only use them offline, since they save you lots of TP in the long run. but only those chara who strictly are limited to techs (fonewearl in my case) use colour merges.

resta merge.. hm, i prefer marina's bag personally... seeing as my fomarl has enough range, she doesnt boost her resta usually, and online i prefer defense - esp. elemental defense - over everything else in therms of shields.

I'm only playing offline and i prefer too the Elemental defense as any merges so far i've tested them...

Personally, I don't use merges because my force is a Melee Force and a merge would be pointless. Instead I just use my nice Attribute wall for its decent DFP EVP and Resistances. In my opinion, a merge should only be used on a char who is strictly a caster or for BATTLES. I personally find Assist-Type Merge to be kinda dumb. Who needs the added range? I know people will say they need it so they can heal the team, but thats why people can carry MATES, and most can Resta themselves, so Really its not that useful to have an Assist-Type Merge

IMO, a resta merge with my FOmarls already good range, is awesome. it helps me keep everyone up and ready to fight. as for the others, i usually have some colors merges on some boss fights like de rol lie or barba ray. somewhere where the rafoie and gizonde will really make a difference.

I've used a foie merge on my hucaseal! yeah!

My fomarl uses barta merge in caves, because it makes nano dragons much easier to kill.(she melees everything else)

I'm currently looking for an amplifier of rabarta for my fonewm in the temple.
I occasionally just equip a shifta merge and madams umbrella on my fomarl. shifta looks sooo damn cool! it look like a flat rafoie!

and BTW, where would one go about getting a legit marinas bag?

Kefka,when i say that i don't see the use of Merges,i mean that in my opinion,there is nir worthy enough reason for which i shall use a merge and sacrifice my elemental defenses..but as i said,i can't fool myself...

Hey, if you use a Resta merge on a FOnewearl, do you get an even bigger Resta range bonus? That'd be so sweet to use when helping people level up.

yeah, you do. I used shifta merge and madams umbrella on my fomarl and had a 4x shifta range. it looks super awesome.

Using merges depends entirely on a person's playing style. With my FOmar, I really have no need for one because I just shoot things and cast J/Z all day. If I were to make a FOnewearl to nuke things, however, I might want to grab a few merges for different areas so that I could nuke more effectively.

resta merges boosts any resta. so yes, it would be larger.

and with my merges, sometimes i pack a couple different shields around like purple ring, resta merge, and secret gear, switching when necessary. although this can be more complicated, it works for me. =)

I use a Red Merge all the time, except when I'm in melee mode. Then it's a secret gear and umbrella(yes I melee with an umbrella).

if u do the canabin ring trick then rafoei merge is very useful

there's nothing wrong with meleeing with an umbrella. It's also a good support weapon. better than stirker of chao. I use mine to melee, along with a doublesaber, mechs, and a charge sawcer with 50 hit.

Nope, I just use merges to start out with and then I just use items that boost up my MST and foie, etc.. and just start nuking away. Plus I hardly get Merges anyway.

Support merge. Oh, how I am dying for one of those.
Imagine this, Boss battle, FOnewm. 0 Range Resta.

It really helps the team to have a good range of resta, ya know.

As for colour merges.... a combination of colour merges, and something like the cheap 9 star wand, they combined and make a huge difference. .... They are cool. So yes they have lousy DEF and EVD, but as a tech casting FO you shouldn't be standing in front of the enemy anyway!

I don't use Merges. My FOmar doesn't really need them, he kills things in 4-6 blasts of thier weakness. I carry Trifluids....if anything can hurt him then its an enemies special attack. Though Megid still kills if it hits. His dark resist is over 55....along with the majority of his other resists...I just need a attribute wall now....

i'm fairly new at this i have one or two merges don't really use em cuz not my type of gear need more for stronger offense like to raise my nuking spell lol working on a newman thats for some support since my friend made a android ranger i decided to use a force to back em up got a hp restore blast & m&y so far lol but anyway i think merges are kinda useful if your into a certain look and spell
