using level 31 techs?

If you had a level 30 technique and used a merge would you cast level 31 techs? then use a wizards technique and cast level 32+ tech? I dunno if this has been stated, just wondering.

Nope. Even with */Technique units a FO's spells max at 30, a HUnl & RAml's spells max at 20, and a HUm & RAm's spells max at 15. Equipping a merge or another item that boosts techniques will literally increase the damage by the amount of the boost. For example: if the spell naturally does 100 damage and you wear an item that boosts 30%, it'll now do 130 damage.
