Item Findage!

After finally getting all four of my characters into Ultimate (first time I've had this many in Ult, actually) I decided to hunt down a few nice little items...

Starting with my HUmar, I decided to go pipe a Custom Barrier v.00. I had found a Custom Frame earlier this morning, and I guessed I should complete the set. So, I set off for Vhard Temple. About 44ish pipes into it, a bright red Nar Lilly appears! I kill it, boom, red box. It's the Custom Barrier! Nice looking, but weaker than my Secret Gear, but with better Ice Resistance. It'll come in handy for any boss that involves Ice.

After that, I decide to try for a God/Body. I head over to Vhard Caves, kill some stuff, find some Lillies, and pipe. 45 mins later, I've found nothing...I decide to switch to my HUnewearl after unlocking the 2nd tier of quests.

Next, with Cassandra, I unlock Forest of Sorrow, and work my way through. I get to final room, and let 3 Hildebears fill it. I begin pipping. 20 or so minutes later, a Hildeblue appears. My first ever! I kill it...SCORE! God/Arm get! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

So, not too bad, eh? Tommorow, I'll work on getting that God/Body, a God/HP, and some more God/Arms...I need like 3...O.o

Am I correct in saying that the custom ray, the custom frame, and the custom barrier are a set and when worn together the stats of them are doubled, like with the Delsabers combo? or is that just me...

yes, but if you wore a secret gear, red handgun, and guard wave, you would have better stats.

Yeah using sets is typically not a good idea. It means you have to keep the same weapon equipped the whole time. Which in custom's case means you have to have the crappy custom ray ver.00 equipped the whole time!

But the custome barrier is so seksi looking! And the custom frame is actually a pretty good frame for FO-ish type person at 70ish level.

I envy you... I have yet to see a Hildeblue in this lifetime.

No it's not. A Valiant Frame found in V.Hard ruins or in Ultimate mode is a lot better than crappy custom frame. So if you are a lvl 70ish FOrce then use one of those. I also don't remember custom barrier actually showing up on my character, but if it did it couldn't have looked very cool since I traded that sucker as fast as I could.

btw, later on Guard Wave is a trillion times better than custom frame ver.00

In fact, IMO, the custom set is the absolute worst set available. Do not search for it! COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.

I just recently got to Ultimte with my Skyly. It took me a while to level up to around 61. After that I was just barely able to beat the Dragon and get to the Caves. I went to the caves. First room, three Vulmers. Killed two, then there were two Vulmers and a Govulmer. killed all of them, ending with just the right Vulmer, and then I ahd two Ob Lillies. I suppose I should have metioned it took me like an hour to beat that one room. So I piped for a while. Around my 90th pipe, I found a Mil Lilly. I ran over, had he fight of my life with the blasted thing. And upon killing I had my first Katana class weapon. Aside from the fyring pan that is. I had also borrowed an Agito from my freind, but this was my first. Now I have a really nice Sange.

I actually went and pipe for my custom barrier after I got a custom frame. Heh. Call me crazy... but one set of this and I pass onto other characters... so 4 characters get the benefit.... I'd say it's not too bad. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Yes, Hildeblue's can be hard to find. Over the past two days, I was piping trying to get one, and it took me about six hours worth of piping to finally get one.

Just to clarify: I didn't want the Custom Barrier for using the Custom Ray, I just wanted it. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif I was spurred to do so by my chance finding of my Custom Frame. Besides, it looks cool and has better Ice Resistance, will come in handy for Sil Dragon/Dark Falz/Icy enemies.

Another thing, I really like my Custom Frame! It's way better than my older frame, and has better ELT and EDK. I've been searching for a God/Battle for quite some time now, with no luck. I'm still gonna keep at it, I've tried using a friend's God/Battle, and the speed boost is amazing! Today was good for items as well, a friend gave me Prophets of Motav (great for my FOnewm), Heart of KapuKapu and Devil and 25% Hit H&S25 Justices.
