challenge mode question

I am not sure if someone posted this or not but when me and a friend were playing challenge mode 2 I beleve, we ran into a sing that said Zero on it.
Zero is my friends Charecter and we still have no idea what it means.
Can anyone tell me.

it's a tombstone that marks where that character died in a past c-mode session. Often gives out a few items like mates or fluids.

but i thought that was online only.
when we seen it we were offline and he had not died.
unless its a glitch i have no idea what it is.

does'nt anyone have any ideas to what it was offline.
cause whe just made it to C2 and he had not died at all.

oh well may as well give up on this topic seems i'm the only one who's seen it and no one knows what it is.
