FanArt: Comic: Sharkyland's PSO Comic (Episode II, page 14)

I am pretty sure I have not started a thread like this, and if I did it would probably be very far lost in the pile of posts. Anyway, let me discuss a few things about this comic...

PSO Comic:
- Considering that I am not writing a fanfiction anymore, this PSO comic will now be its replacement. I will put this comic on both my Deviantart (if I don't see any problems with it) and http://kibibyte.topcities.com which I still need to renovate, but creating files like them won't take me that long. I might make a LOT of mistakes concerning PSO, and it's detailed storyline, so if I make a mistake... I'll see if I can correct it. If I'm already too far in the comic, well... crap, it'll be eating my insides till the day I die.

Updates:
- I have now changed my signature so you can now view what new things that I have posted. Things to look out for are 'Episode' (which says what Episode I'm on... and, no it doesn't coordinate with Episode I, II, and III), but it will run along with Episode I, II, and III but not how people would expect this comic to run since it's running off it's own original storyline (created by me, of course with a bit of help from Davion and M_Blackhawk and other people that I choose from the extensive character bank). I will release 3 pages at a time, so I understand what I'm doing and not rushing myself like I do when I post one page at a time. I am also working and attending school at the same time. I usually draw to unstress myself. Please don't be surprised if certain comic updates are faster than others. I will go at my own pace.

Artist Status:
- I am trying to improve my artwork by doing a lot of unknown things, and this will tend to slow me a bit because I have to learn how to draw these types of things. Somedays you might see my art being awesome and somedays it will seriously suck. If it's bad, I MIGHT redraw them, but that might suck away more time.

Warnings:
- The beginning of this comic might seem a bit hilarious and serious, but in truth I like fighting, action, and more fighting. I seldomly do comedy and romance, but nevertheless, you see some snip-its of it from time to time. Btw, the romance thing doesn't come until late...

- Each page will be at a height of 650 pixels with the width approximately close to 500. I have taken to consideration of writing large. Currently on my computer it's readable, and my resolution is set to 1024x768. Will try my best to darken my comic with markers and pens.

I went out yesterday and looked for just black crayons because I've been coloring with 'radical carrot', 'mellow green', 'blue', and 'raspberry red'. I'm happy now that Crayola has just released the 'twisting' crayons... though the crayon drawings won't last long unfortunately (it's just a recap)...

Page 11: took me an hour and fifteen minutes to draw
Page 12: took me near two hours to draw
Page 13: timed to be so far thirty-five minutes...

I see the end of this chapter soon, but I really don't know how long the part is going to be coming up... it may or may not tied exactly as the fanfiction...

** NOTES **
- A few cameos have appeared: Lara Blackhawk (owned by M_Blackhawk), Mike S. Blackhawk (owned by M_Blackhawk), and Seifer (owned by Davion). The reasons why I added these cameos is that they come straight from my fanfiction that I wrote, but they will appear later (their appearance might change once I get feedback from their creators). I will add more cameos later though I haven't gotten to a part where I can introduce them left and right, and it won't be merely just 'try to find me in the comic' but more like character interaction. I have to plan these carefully because I might overload myself later on.
- This was my first time drawing an android (RAcast, if you can't tell) being ever for PSO, I still need to work on the kinks of getting it right (but helping me drawing unfamiliar situations improve my drawing). There are also other things I need to work on like adding more people into the background and making it look more futuristic (even though I'm creative, I'm not experienced to actually make new inventions).
- Yes, these pages are now detailed to the best of my ability and now it takes more than an hour to finish each page (except the parody pages which are going to be rather huge frame-wise).

** MISCELLANEOUS **
- I messed up on pages 13 and 14 of Episode I, as well as the first page of Episode 0. I have not uploaded these pages to Deviantart webpage OR my webpage, but if you want to view them, just reply. You might percieve some of these are good drawings, but I noticed I was heading in the wrong direction. My way of thinking is quite odd.

** NOTES **
- I decided to use 13 and 14 (the ones that I messed up on) as page 13 and 14. Right now, it doesn't seem to unveil any plot twisters or heck even the plot (unless you slightly read Davion's story).
- I spilled water on both 13 and 14, but it's nothing that major and luckily I wasn't using pen, or that would seriously bleed.
- Still having an issue with technology on the next two pages.
- Marina is fourteen right now, but I have no idea what year to put in, so I put 30XX, and yes Marina's father was a human and her mother was a newman.
- That RAmar in the background, well I didn't assign a name to him yet and I'm probably not going to.
- Episode I will be coming to a close soon. I'm currently having trouble with Episode V right now on how to set things up (damned storyboards).
- Parody: I think you might be able to see where I'm going with this. I guess you'll just have to wait how it'll turn out. It might be cheesy to some people and somewhat bad because it isn't colored.

Well, this is what I have heard... computer information can be made of bits where are basically: 0 or 1, on or off, or whatever you want to call the pair.

I heard that Internet Explorer made a little mistake when calculating image size and stuff of that matter. A kilobyte which is 10^3 (1000) is actually supposed to be 2^10 (1024). It's just weird, trust me.

** NOTES **
- I kinda rushed it though it has a lot of explanation, and that is why it was produced so quickly. I got home today, and I was way beyond stress, and one way for me to counter stress is to draw until I calm down. This might affect my drawing and the way I'm thinking. Out of all the pages that I've drawn today, I think page 18 needs a makeover, but in my tired opinion, I think it looks fine. From now, my title will state the latest information, so I might be doing both Episode 0 and II at the same time. I can tell you Episode II is VERY long (I'm guessing 30+ pages), but it all depends on how I spread things out.

kibi- (Ki-)
- A binary prefix meaning 2^10 = 1024. This prefix, adopted by the International Electrotechnical Commission in 1998, was supposed to replace kilo- for binary applications in computer science. Thus 1024 bytes of storage is officially a kibibyte, not a kilobyte. However, computer professionals generally dislike this unit (they say it sounds like a cat food) so the ambiguity in the size of a kilobyte persists. The prefix is a contraction of "kilobinary." The symbol Ki-, rather than ki-, was chosen for uniformity with the other binary prefixes (Mi-, Gi-, etc.).

Uh, that's not Grey in the parody. It's Kibibyte, she'll be mentioned soon (Chapter IV or V). The parodies are basically silly ideas that I have come up with and they are usually mockery of something, and they have nothing to do with the storyline.

- I do not know how long I'm going to go with this type of storyline but if it goes long enough it's going to have it's own chapter. Sometimes I have the major points planned out that when the small details come I really can't estimate on how long they are going to be.

Well, currently... Pioneer 2 is on it's way to Ragol. There are certain places where Pioneer 2 can hyperdrive it's way (this is just my opinion) to Ragol while in between they will make repairs to any damage that is done, etc. Well, after a hyperdrive they stop, they approach this stationary satellite which sends out a signal meaning that you are heading on the right direction to Ragol. Well, I'm including this because a) it helps me introduce a new character and b) introduce a small plot (which will be explained in Episode II or III depending on how far I take this).

Right now, Episode II is one of my favorite chapters... but now that I have thought of it, I should've written it down.

- Pages 01 through 06 are completely crappy in my opinion, but pages 07 and 08 seem to represent my style better. Guess what, I'm liking the story that I'm drawing even though my drawing still can't compare to LJR, navi, Shake, Batou, Relam, etc. Page 09-11: Sudden burst of creativity.

** MISCELLANEOUS **
- There is one problem. I don't have a title for Episode II, but hopefully when I finish it, I will have one. Ideas are welcome. ^_^ Episode III is now titled as : 'Marina & Her Mag'.

I'm nearing the end of Episode II, but as you can see my drawings has become sloppy, and there's no background! I'm probably going to add some computer effects on Episode III (but I'm am still unsure of it because I don't know how to use the full extent of my Paint Program even if it's considered 'ancient' (Adobe Photoshop 5.0).

Anyway, the reason why I'm drawing fast is because I don't want to lose track of my idea that are developing when I draw out this comic. Drawing a comic seems to be a hell of a lot different than writing a fanfiction. As you can see, I'm going through 'draft' mode which basically means drawing out the story then going over and finalizing the details. I really doubt if I am going to get this published because it's going to be a hassle, and I seriously need to learn how to draw better.

In my opinion, I think it's pretty good. I would like to hear opinions or comments from you people who are reading it. I know it's kinda slower than fanfiction writing since drawing only gives you a couple scopes of the story and it's not fully complete until it's all there. With the speed I'm going now... I don't think I'm going to do the release of the three page schedule but more an episode release. I will upload the pages on both Deviantart and Kibibyte for backup purposes.
