hi, i am thinking of getting a vga box so i can display my gc through my pc monitor, instead of my tv (to save space). and wanted to know if anyone here uses one, and could offer some advice. is it better quality than a scart cable in a tv?

this is the vga box i have in mind: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/stores/detail/-/videogames/B0000902DP/pictures/ref=dp_pics_smp/202-9654069-5172629
do u think it will still work with the tft i am planning on getting.

thank you ^_^

The gamecube will only output, at best an RGB signal.
Unlike the Dreamcast which could put out a pure VGA signal to a monitor.
RGB SCART is about as good as it gets, and as long as thats what your feeding the VGA box, thats all your going to get in terms of quality.
That VGA box for sale in amazon, only acepts the composite Video signal, so the quality on a monitor will be noticlbly worse than you would get on your TV using a RGB SCART lead.
if you can find a VGA box that acepts RGB signals, as provided from a gamecube SCART lead the picure quality shouldnt be too bad, although it wont be at the same definition as that which you get from your P.Cs VGA output.
