I am quite sad http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif. My dog, Hunter, just pass away today http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif. He was 16 years old. My family is a wreck, and I guess I am too http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif. I had him since I was 4. Its going to be hard to go throu the front door and not see him there http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif. But such is life, I guess, one day you are there and the next you are not...

Hunter, Im going to miss you a lot old buddy, rest in peace old friend...

I've had that same thing... My Golden Retriever, Rusty died the week before I started my Senior year of High School. He was 19 years old, as I recall. I loved that dog. I cried the whole time I was burying him.

Still, I'll have another Golden Retriever, some day.

He was a good dog. Always slept right in front of the front door. I think he knew he was going to die, too. The last thing he did, was walk down the little sidewalk into my family's front yard, and lay down on the grass at the end of it.

I think everyone here's lost at least 1 pet in their lifetime, myself included. I remember how much it hurt to lose my old cat, figaro. He had been with me since I was 8 and died when I was 20. I can relate to your situation, and my deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Thanks VG...Hunter was a Retriver too http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif. The last thing he did was very similar to what Rusty did, he just got up from the front door and went to sleep in the grass under his favorite tree http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif.

ive losely only lost one pet. but it was mainly my sisters cat, rose, got run over http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif there was another one before it called spider, but my sister apparently "persecuted" it to suicide (got hit by a car)

fortunately, my cat, figaro! (im glad you cad had a cool name spike) is still alive. hes 18 though (roughly), older than me infact, i know he'll die in a few years though. it'll be sad, he seems so oblivious to the fact, but i know it all too well one day he wont be here. he seems so playful though. he doesnt act like an 18 y/o cat. im hoping the vet guessed his age wrong, because when we got him we think he was 6, but im not so sure. he sleeps a lot, but all cats do http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

We had to put our little poodle Snickers to sleep four days before Christmas 2000. It really bit the dust. Her kidneys failed, and it was putting her to sleep or letting her die from toxic poisoning. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

He's resting now on someplace higher.

I would talk about my personal experience with a pet to show that I know what you feel, but I was too young and it might get misunderstood.

My dog Dixie died one weekend. It was horrible.

She was having surgery on her intestines, and we thought it went ok. Then the next morning she woke up, threw-up blood, and died. I hadn't seen her in 12 hours, and she had died.

When burying her I couldn't stand seeing blood all over her. She was a beagle, and I will always remember her.

our first dog had to be put down after beeing attacked by a much bigger dog, very messy.....

we could have saved her but surgery was WAY to expensive. that was 6 or 7 years ago.

second dog, we didnt even have for 20 days before we found out it had a disease, he couldnt walk, or eat, really sad

3rd dog is hanging in there, got a good 10 years left in her

When I was six years old I was taking a shower and my dog Kaiser (Boxer) got into to the shower and just wagged his tail looking at me. Then he just lied down and fell asleep even with the water hitting him. I thought it was odd place to sleep. I poked him, gently pulled his ear like he liked it, but no response.

I freaked out, yelled for my dad. He came in, saw Kaiser and picked him up. His tongue was horribly colored purple. My dad then told me that Kaiser had died...

What had happened was that a few days prior some kids were beating me up, Kaiser jumped the fence and bit one in the leg. The kids parents wanted my dad to kill my dog, but my dad had seen everything and told them no.

Kaiser's tounge was purple because that kids bastard parents poisoned him.

He was the only dog Ive ever had.

My friend, Mike, had a pet named Peanut... was like his gaurdian.

Was was the fattest cat I have ever seen in my whole life. But he was cute. He was kinda like a pal to me for a couple years. He still lives on in our memories. He was put to sleep when I was in 11th grade. Since then, Mike went on to smoke weed, blunts, cigarettes, and any other smoke-emissive product.

Heh, I would do the same, but I rather look young the rest of my life, than become some old snob at age 21 with smoke hanging out my anus pipes.

R.I.P. Peanut and Blue

YOU MY BOY BLUE!

Oh wait, my pet Blue is still alive...
(He looked sad with a giant hole in his neck...[my pit bull])

I Guess I'm kind of weird then I mean while I feel sorry for you nasca I don't think I cryed when our crayfish or hampster died and to this day I still don't feel bad about it I guess that's because I accepted death at an early age I mean my grandpa died when I was three (but I didn't really know him) and then my uncle when I was five and my other grandpa at 7 and my aunt just recently (16) so yeah I think death just got rigth in there with me so I;m preaty indeferant about it. But I do feel sorry for you nasca rely I do.

That's seriously fucked up. Especially when all he was doing was protecting you.

Evil parents, I can tell you that. Probably spoiled the kid, too.

Well, I had a similar siyuation in my life but it was a long time ago. One of my previous so-called neighbours gave my dog - Ali (I would tell you the name of the race but I haven`t got any idea how it`s called in English) some sh** causing his legs to be partialy paralyzed. He was alive for some more years but it caused me pain looking at him sometimes - he was the same age as me then. He died under the wheels of a car one day before Christmas Eve...
Presently I have another dog and she is a Boxer. If anybody would try to hurt her I swear that he will regret it - REALLY.

Wow, what fuckers. Um, did you take legal action? Maybe you couldn't, becuase if you didn't have any proof...

Well, thanks to karma, something bad'll happen to their bitchasses one of these days.

RIP Kaiser...

My old dog Max was the best. We got him when I was 3 and he was 1, and when he was 11 his organs started to fail. The vet knew how much we loved him and what Max meant to us, so he said Max was a home dog and should spend his last moments with us at home. We took Max home and hugged him all evening. The moment we sat back he closed his eyes. I think he was staying alive for us. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_cry.gif He was a fine dog, he never barked or bit anyone.
R.I.P Max, we love you
