*laughs* I'm probably the first person to ever post one of these here... To explain, I've just started a photography class at school, and before we develop any film, we have to get used to using the photo paper and the developing process. To do that, we're making photograms by cutting out pieces of paper and assembling them into an image, which will then be in black and white (only black and white, no grey) on photo paper. That said, I chose to do my FOnewearl, Demi, for mine. *G*

*bangs head on wall* I should have another piccie done really soon! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

EDIT: Forgot to mention that this isn't the actual photogram, it's just my template, completed in Illustrator because the markers we were supposed to use hated me, and as my Computer Art teacher is also my Photography teacher, she said I could just do it in Illustrator. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

The actual pieces I'll be using are the white parts. they'll be laid like I've got them in this piccie over the photo paper, which is light sensitive, and when the paper is then exposed to light, the areas not covered by the paper will be burned black.

That looks really cool ^_^. It kind of reminds me of photo negatives.

http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif It's like doing prints, in a different way! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Off topic: There is this one, I was bored in the winter holiday, so I bought a bunch of colour papers, and made a NiGHTs and Reala paper doll. Cut out everything and stick them on layer by layer, must have been the funniest thing. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Back on topic: I look forward to see the actual thing! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I was looking at it, and saw the pretty picture. Then I saw your post about how the white was what you would be seeing, and all of a sudden I had an image of white spikies poking at a white face, where the black was negative space... Creepy...

This is a very interesting concept, and sounds like a pretty fun thing to do.

This type of art will drive me nuts because I need to cut precise shapes. Though it looks pretty awesome. It's almost like taking a colored background and just 'erasing' it. I want to see more.

I was eating my noodles and looked up and I read "FANART"..suddenly I looked to the right and seen "LadyJadeRiver"... put my head back down and thought to myself... "Was that....?"... looked up again and seen "LadyJadeRiver" and it just so happen to have been matched with the word "FANART" on it's left and immediately decided to check it out!

Still eating my ramen, I seen nothing but 4 sentences, and I scrolled down....

....went in awe for approximately 6 mins...

...read other ppl's comments...

..agreed with Sharkyland.... still dazzled by what I saw... no flaws...perfect curves.... scared to post my own version of Demi...

HAHAHAHAHA!

Mmmm, crispy crisp. That's some awesome stuff. Which reminds that I should learn to use illustrator http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif I played around with it and couldn't quite figure out how to use the pen/line tool whatever it's called.

Adobe Illustrator. Professional graphics program for .. well, illustration. I have tried my hands on it, but my computer just cannot handle illustrator... so, yah, I have no idea how this works. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

*tracks you down with a hoard of rappies. After catching you we tie you to a pole where I let them eat your skin until near death. I then bring your helth back under painful conditions, and let the rappies feast again, repeating the process over several times*

Now if i killed you, how would i get what i want?

On Topic: I'm kind of confused on how this is going to turn out. Is the black area gonna be the black part? Or is the white going to be black?

Just to clarify, that IS how it's going to look, it's just the white is going to be all that I have to cut out for a template. I think we're doing the photograms in class on Tuesday, so I should be able to put it up then. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

And thank you all for the kind comments! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Ah, Illustrator.
Program of precision art. That is a LOT of pulling on little blue dots with white arrows, isn't it? Illustrator is a fascinating thing...in sertain areas of art. Mostly, for blueprints, advertising, layout/pages and logos/signage. (copy is always crisp, file sizes tend to be small, raster imgaes can be placed, and the vector objects created by it are infinitly resizeable from postage stamp to billboard without pixelation or quality loss)

However, it is not in it's nature to provide soft shading or easy lines without a good deal of difficulty. It will most always yeild a sertain style, much as the highly coveted (by me) Painter does, as VS. Photoshop/Elements.

Still, that is a good work you have done in it, very unique, and interesting, and also supportive of the way illustrator works. I am also currently trying something in it, for possible posting somewhere hopefully on fanworks. (about how long did that take you?)
