I have always liked long range attackers in games so i tryed a RAcast and i realy liked. I would like to know what everyone else's opinions on them are?

RACasts are okay, (in fact, that's the first character class I had success with), but I'm still partial to HUCasts. There's nothing like being right in the middle of the action. It's so much more interesting and fun

I love the RAcast because of two things.

1. Hunters are a tad more prone to death; Rangers can back away and kick rear without getting their rears kicked.

2. Androids just plain rock, IMO. Sure, no techniques, but I didn't want to fiddle with techniques my first time through. My second character (merely level 4, was BSODed just the other day, so I'm low on items.) has magic, and I'm not sure I like having to put magic on the buttons that would normally be used for healing items. Plus, Androids have built in trap vision, high health, AC, and accuracy, and can never be poisoned or paralyzed (unless it's that stupid mantis' para attack).

I'm sure RAcaseal is just as good as RAcast, but honestly, RAcast's look much cooler. =)

The thing i like the most about them is the trap vision and not having to worry about fluids(i just feed them to my mag) and poison.
The trap vision is handy.that all i hear people that are the humans complain about. i just laugh because i don't have to worry because i don't have to go anywhere near them.

on the comment above about feeding your andriod's mags fluids: AHHHOOIUIUIUIII! don't do it, it's a B I G mistake. You'll be wasting your mag's limited field of growth for bounuses in a stat you don't even use.

On another note: RAcasts are cool, pump their ATA, give them a Lord's spreader type weapon, find a game with 3 other people, then fire away and suck up a ton of exp for very little work and damage. It's kinda fun too http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif

I'm sure being in the middle of battle is fun, but you know what? My FOsomething (forgot the name... Just started playing the game extensively not too long ago... It's that short little jester guy) can melee like heck http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif I primarily melee with him instead of using my techniques because I was lucky enough to find some really nice weapons for him to use. I had him using the Panic Saber + 2 before some stupid thing happened and everything was erased minus the character. Ah well, only 5 hours on the guy, anyway. Was lvl 11 and getting his butt whooped in the caves, hehe http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

RAcasts are an excellent beginner character, which is one of the reasons why I chose to be one. No techniques, which hurts in higher levels, but that's what your teammates are for. But, you do get to play with the coolest guns like the Crush Bullet, for example, which will net you big experience online since it hits multiple targets. You can level up very, very fast, with a RAcast if you play frequently on the hardest available difficulty.

And there is NOTHING cooler than being able to knock entire lines of 'bots on their asses in the mines. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

They also add a rather nice level of strategy to the game because they CAN hit at ranges outside of the other characters. Choosing targets wisely can make it MUCH easier for the rest of your team members to clear rooms quickly.

I did this for my first mag I got to lvl 200, I looked at its levels and it had 60 lvls for mind and I thought wait a minute...

Well my new mag is going well almost 100 for power 30 for def and 30 for dex...and it looks cooler http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif

No, no they can't. And neither can RAcaseals. But I have a HUcaseal, and a RAcast. Guess which one I like better?
If you guessed RAcast, good job! Not only do I have deadly accuracy, and amazing gun power. I can whip out melee and do just as good as most HU's can do!
My next char will probably be a HUcast though....
