Got bored, wrote this in a few minutes while drifting to sleep (ZZZZ)
Nothing is what it once was.
Nothing feels quite as real as it used to,
The seas of evergreen grass,
The billowing clouds,
The lingering rays of light,
They are nothing now.
Nothing is real anymore,
The trembling sigh of the storm,
The sweet call of the ocean,
The scents of Spring,
They are not but illusions now.
Nothing is clear,
The haunting tune of the violinist,
The lilting music of the piano,
The reverb of the guitar,
They are not but faded memories.
Nothing is what it once was,
Nothing is quite what it seems,
Nothing has a place anymore,
Nowhere but in our dreams.
