I am backing up my character.

Now that I've reached my goal, I'm holding a backup of Mitclax on a spare VMU. I don't DARE want to lose her. I could care less about the items I'll loose if I use that save after an F or BSOD. IMO, the character is MUCH more important than any of the items. Anyone else doing this?

And one thing I was pondering(possibly opening a can of worms here >.<) What about duping(ducks for cover) items for YOUR OWN PERSONAL SECURITY and giving them to another one of YOUR OWN characters to hold? This could possibly be the safeway around not being able to backup. Safeguard from theivs and glitches, and the occasional dumbass brother.

Just wondering. Not looking to start a war. Duping for trades and infesting a community is bad. But is it ok when you're trying to keep yourself safe?

Like i DUPE thes ehappy faces? Its quite SIMPLE! You just use VMU-PC upload device! Hard to find and sorta pricey but heck, lets you save that itty bitty like... .7 Meg .VMU file on your hard drive or even on Disk Or CD rom ifyou'r REALLY cautiose about it! And you can save all your downloaded quests along with it to and lots of fun stuff

How did you save your character to another VMU? Can you do it if you have another character on that VMU? I went into the file and saw a guild card and a PSO file that cannot be copied!?

hmmm...Mazarin? I hope you haven't deleted your original character , cuz I tried to back my chara up. it works. but when trying to get online with it makes the sever wipe out your whole inventory.

If u don't believe me, just try it out. I'm using the Nexus Card

Mazarin, It's very hard to get online with a back up, since sega fixed the servers. I think Ambria has an faq on how to get online with a back up on this site. I have a nexus memory card and used to back up my character. I don't bother anymore, not much point. Oh well, hope my save files never corrupts........

I know the backups get stoped once online, tell you something's afoot, tell you you're file has been 'updated' then disconnects you. Your EXP and the character itself is untoutched. You still have all the techniques and everything(I think... gotta make sure tho)

How the duping would work into this, is make a character, just to hold the duped items in case of a travisty.

Bring up the old save, go thru the loss of items, then do the ol' transfer of items with a friend. Does that sound underhanded or ingenious!?
