GC: Another PAL user problem.

K, once more I'm posting this for a friend in the UK.

He got a BBA off the net and when trying to connect with it his GC freezes up. Does anyone know what causes this error and if so, how to fix it? He suspects a bad modem adapter but I think its something else.

By Freeze, does the gamecube freeze after the BBA has been inserted, or is it just on PSO?
first the obvious:
switch off all power, remove all cables, insert the BBA.
still no good?

Look at the BBA, check the bit with the electrical conections that conects to the gamecube, if posible clean this out with some dry filtered compressed air, or lung power ( blow on it) also do the same with the conector on the gamecube.

secondly, get your mate to register at pso-world.
