Ok, I didn't draw these, but my friend did and I thought they were really good:

What do you think?

Very nice. Were those Photoshop'd, or were they done with a 3D modeling program such as Maya or 3D Studio?

Heh... I remember back in the day... Working with AutoCAD 14, one of the example drawings was a very impressive 3D model of a '57 Chevy going down the highway. Lots of fun.

Macromedia Fireworks I think.
I'm more into the 3d modelling myself, I use Max 5.0, but should be able to get myself maya soon http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Agreed. I love XSI. Easier to model, texture, and apply shaders.

Too bad working with skeletons are hard IK handle wise. A friend is supposed to help me find a way to get around the effector problems and constraints.

Kinda reminds me of the car from Turbo Teen.

Cel-shading actually has it's mark as one of the biggest (as well as widely-accpeted) art types of the year...

Reminds me of that Capcom racer. What was it, Auto Modellista?

Oh man! Penny Racers! I remember that game. I can't remember if I loved it or hated it. But I did really enjoy playing through the game with my brothers, collecting parts. If only our memory cards didn't keep erasing...

And were you referring to Paper Mario? Another great game, but I never got around to beating it.

These pics remind me of Auto Modellista. They are very nice too. Tell your friend good job.

I've played with 3D Studio MAX 3.1 and 4.0 a bit, but I've never been able to accomplish much. I've done quite a bit in AutoCAD though. I once scared the heck out of a Tech School Rep with this house I'd drawn. I wish I still had that drawing. All I really had left to draw was the furniture. I actually got it featured in a CAD magazine once!
