Crazy text.

Well i have been looking at the all the text thats on the the ship and everything and i wanted to know a few things about the language:

1. I dont think its a different language, but a different style of writing. Whats it called?

2. Has there ever been report of someone making and actualy PSO alphabet with all the letters, because i think it would be neat to right like that in school and see what the teachers say http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

3. Does anyone know a trick to read it cause its damn hard.

Some place either here at PSOW or some other PSO site there is a download for the PSO fonts. That could easily teach you the 'PSO alphabet'. It is just English with new character appearances. Oh and in Caves much of the writing throughout is backwards. Just for your curiosity. I too was facinated by this when I first started playing PSO.

Yes, there is a downloadable font somewhere (I think it's here at psoworld, but it could be elsewhere).

I already knew about the alphabet, but I have a similar question to the topic creator's: On the title screen of the game (Where you have the options Online Game, Offline Game, Options, and Website), there are words written in this font around the edge of the circle. What do these say? I can never read all of them, but I'm fairly sure they are the photon blasts.

Outermost ring:

FARLLA ESTLLA GOLLA PILLA LEILLA MYLLA2

Just inside the outer ring are letters, these are the first letters of the names of the PBs, under their respective PBs

Outer inner ring:

I wish it at an alliance from several years ago

Innermost ring:

Please protect us by virtue of your the great light power

That's so much crap! What alliance from several years ago do they talk about? Do they mean alliance between Humans, Newmans and Malkovians or whatever they were called in Phantasy Star?

If you have a keyboard, you can also type with PSO's font. Set your language to Japanese and hold down Alt as you type, I think. I'm pretty sure.

just checked it out and that shit is mad crazy. that would be hard as hell to figure it out and actually read it easily. I think i might adopt it as my second language. I just wish i knew what the pronunciations were.

I'd imagine it has the same prunucation as if one would speak L337. Except not sound quite as stupid.

It's just a font, it's not that hard to read.

I think it's some sort of alliance with the photon mirages' mystical guardians this is referring to.

And the English translation IS pretty horrible. :/
