I need Ranger in ULT help

im in ult and i have no chance at passing caves ... i have some good items and i am lvl 88 and i get my ass kicked when ever i enter ... do u have any advice on how to beat and gain lvl's fast.

Ultimate is a different beast then Normal - V.Hard. Complete a stage with moderate ease, and you'll get your ass handed to you on the next stage.

Keep levelling up through Forest until you're about level 95 or so. Oh, are you a RAmar... no Jellen/Zalure sucks. Finding a weapon that casts Jellen would be VERY nice... though you'd have to use Photon Drops to make it though.

The God/Arm unit is the highest unit attainable in the Arm series. It raises your ATA by some relatively massive number (I believe the value for most God/Units is +50, but ATA seems to have a much smaller scale, so it may be only 25 or something). If you're having any trouble raising enough ATA to equip a nice Ranger-ish weapon you've got sitting in your bank, then a God/Arm would be a great addition to your equipment.

As for good Ranger weapons attainable by Purplenums... Hmm... Well, personally, if I were you, once I get to Mines, I'd be hunting Baranz's for their enemy part, so I could have Montegue make a Baranz Launcher. Other than that, you might try to get an El Rappy to drop a Red Handgun, or an Inferno Bazooka from a Barble. You might also find a Stag Cutlery from a Guil Shark in Very Hard, though that's a melee weapon, rather than a Ranger weapon (still, potentially useful to a RAmar, depending on your style of gameplay). Honestly though, Purplenum isn't really the best ID for Rangers. Still, for a more complete list of what you're likely to find, check this page on this very site--

I dunno, my level 80 RAcast still needs two Elf/Arm++'s and a mag with absurd amounts of Dex to achieve an ATA high enough to use his Gi Gue Bazooka. There are indeed a few really good ranger weapons that have absurdly high ATA requirements. The aforementioned weapon, for example, requires 200 ATA-- and I've found that it's worth the effort to build it up.

As a RAnger, you should DEFINATELY get a Frozen Shooter from a Hildetorr (if you can equip it, you may have to use your God/Arm or two). It helps a lot, and you should be able to do Special-Special-Special comboes on the enemies.

err, purplenum is the best id for rangers, spread needles easy from ruins, frozen shooter easy from hildetorr, yas9m from cananes not too easy but doable, and up till yo get one you have LKombats by the dozen so you can get good attributes and hit

Yam 9000M from Crisson Assassins (temp) is a good drop. Go for that one. Luckily I managed to find mine after only 3 appeared.

Oh then I found a spread needle on my 2nd Ruins run for redria. With those 2 my Ramarls eating Caves and forest.

hmm, I'd better start getting my HUcaseal into ULT...

Back on topic, I truly am amazed and appalled by the fact that people expect to beat ULT Caves at low levels. As a pointer, get yourself a strong weapon and some decent armour before you even CONSIDER tackling any ULT area beside Forest. I'm serious, I always used to get creamed in the Temple, and that was when I was using my HUcast...

(On a side note, my RAcaseal used to get her shiny metal ass handed to her on a plate in ULT Caves, and she was lv114 with that godforsaken 1304 Devil's Tail maxing most of her stats beside EVP...)

i had a racast at lvl 121 and i only just managed to do caves, although i had the shitest weps ever ( red handgun or justys)it was mainly cos of my mag , i didnt have online mode at the time so i couldnt get a hacked mag

What about a Mag you made? It is more rewarding to make your own Mag, and it is not hard to make one, with stats such as:
5/145/50/0 or 5/135/60/0

Either would have made the Caves easy for you, without needing ridiculous stats on it.

also, nothing's wrong with using a justy. the devil ability is quite useful when in ult and the enemies have a ton of HP

I personally reccomend a 5/145/50/0 for RAngers (RAmarls only really need MST for Resta, and learning new techs {which a FOrce Mag would be better for}).

And Kafka, Justy's have the Devil Special (50% HP).

Make sure you have a good level shifta, then tjust get a good sturdy gun have snipe at the doors, thats what I did, and I passed the caves before lvl 80 with my RAmar.

tip#1 you should have at least found one General/battle already, equip that and use a handgun or rifle, it will help you in caves.

tip#2- do Gran Squall but don't complete quest, you can go up about 4-5 lvls in 2+ hours.

tip#3- use rifles and use the shoot and run out of room technique, it may be long but it get's the job done.

tip#4- equip Arm units if you miss too much, it will up your ATA.

tip#5- do quests where someone accompanies your char, that way they are the guinea pig while you unload some bullets in x enemies.... er.... uh... body

tip#6- try using weapon specials, preferably Demons/Charge or hell.

tip#7- to get get higher rank spells you are close to using equip a 4 slot armor with 4 angel/minds++.

Hope that helps, personally by the time I hit ultimate with my RAmar (lvl 80 or lower) I had no problems until mines and ep.2 CCA.
