What's better for Forces, fighting with magic or with close range wepons?

I think that really depends on the situations. I you could probably melee pretty well up until Ultimate, but than probably start having to use techs once you get there. Which was the case for my Fomar, but now that i have max mst i'm aiming to make him a melee fomar.

But obviously a Force is meant to use magic, and close range weapons aren't safe, which is why i try using %mechs.

Heres a realtively new topic with the same topic as you.

Shut up. I've saved your ass more times than you've ever helped me, Mr. Alzie. You need to buy some more Moon Atomizers, I CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY THEM ALL THE TIME!

It's all a matter of opinion; how you want to play. One way is not better than another, it all depends on your style.

Even the question it's dumb, Force = Techs... ¬¬

But if you're using a FOmar/marl and have nice ATA you can use weapons with help of S/D J/Z

But if you're using a FOnewm/newearl and have nice ATP you can use weapons with help of S/D J/Z

*cough, cough* I'm just asking because i have leveled up and my FOnewm has not gotten any stronger by me using Tech's so my guy has no chance when he runs out of TP and fluids.>.<

Hehehe, he's lvl8 ¬_¬

Give him a chance, you can ask yourself this question after being lvl 20 or so

And btw... by ultimate You'll shine and your bro's HUcast will fall =D

GO HUGE SHOES!!! GO!!!

Also, FOnewms, FOnewearls, and HUnewearls have auto-TP regen. Stand still, and your TP goes up.

That's sorta the reason why he wants to know...he wants a way of conserving TP enough to not need to stand there, or run to Pioneer 2 Medical Bay and recharge. He wants to stay in the action all the time. That, and he uses Mono/Di/Trifluids too fast.

GRRRR. Do I have to say this again, oh well guess I do. YES, it really depends on the situation. I will tell you what I like to do with my FO. First off I always use techs (varies what kind) And when I get to the boss I alwayz stop using tech and restore my TP (for example- You are fight the dragon, you use a mechgun type wep and take the dragon down, then you take out your twin saber and attack this head like crazy with your special attack, note: that should restore your TP to full before it gets up. After it does get up you use barta class tech on it blah blah blah until it dies) So here goes my lecture again talking about my favorite weapon the twin saber for a force. Very good boost attack and accuracy and have 6 melees. I would say able to get a FO ATP to around 1200 if you maxed your ATP. So if your like that getting is a close range combat should give you no problems at all! If you want FO detail, I can tell you how I brilliantly defeated all the ep1 bosses with out using one fluid http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Heh, well, we use the same PC. So when I'm online, he's playing PSO (or out, or doing stuff...etc.) and vice-versa. So could you put on the board what your information was, so he can check when he comes online?

Can't he just scroll to the previous page and see it, I have DSL so I can play and be on PSOW! (But still kind of confused)

Read my post from the previous page.

You seriously got through all the bosses on Episode 1 without using a single fluid? Is that by using a special handgun with Draw or something?

I said earlier. I had my twin saber and it's special is geist (tp stealing) From every hit from an ult monster I think you can draw out exactly 61 tp so if you use a combo like that on the boss when they give you obvious and easy times to attack you, you can 61 x 6 = 366 with one set of combo, VERY USEFUL!

I've not got a Twin Saber...and I'm not on Ultimate. I'm only on Normal. I'm not even in the Caves yet.

rising_sunset
Feb 21, 2004, 07:59 PM
It doesn't really matter, because you will just steal the amount of TP relevant to your level (which would be less but then at the same time you don't have all that much TP)

Oh, right. Thanks. Sorry for HUdax's stupidity. He's a little slow. (Those damn HUcasts...)

Hm. Note to you both. This forum is not a chat window. If you post a message, you can check back later, the messages aren't going anywhere. :/ No need to ask "I wasn't here, was there a message for me?" Look in the thread.

Okay. To answer your question.
Raise your self a good mag if you want to stay in action, conserve TP and such. For a low level FOnewm, both your ATP and ATA are .... horrible. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif It will get better, but at low level it is horrible. Don't think you can try to become a HUcast. The best weapon for you if you want to fight and get TP back is a TP-drain gun. Meaning: Mind, Soul, Geist etc. Find a handgun with this special, if it has %, awesome, if not, it's not the end of the world. Get yourself a Dex/Mind mag. I recommand something up to about 90 dex as such a low level. What you can do with this mag, and TP-drain gun is: tech while you can, whenever you get the chance, use your gun to steal TP from enemies.

With a gun, you can do it from afar. If they get too close, run! As a FO, keep Shifta/Deband on at all times. (Shifta if you want to use your gun, if teching, forget Shifta to conserve your TP) Er. What else?

Raise a dex/mind mag, TP-drain gun.
Until you get to a decent level, don't think you can fight with close-ranged weapon! It is death for you!!
