Router/Connection Problems

OK, I've had my quarries posted over several threads in tech support--but I thought I better just make one.

Here's my questions.

1) How come I can connect to the PSO website through the GC but I can't access the game servers? What would cause this?

2) How do I "open" ports on my router?

3) Where can I go to check router settings?

4) Where can I check firewall settings (if any)?

5) Why is the DNS page (connecting to PSO) always timing out on me? I'm using the exact DNS numbers my ISP provided--I've also tried switching to Automatic and I still get ERROR 101 and ERROR 102. Yet, I can connect through the website with both of these settings(?).

What is the make and model of your router? Also what type of broadband is it? (I know you posted it in another thread but I'm too tired to look for it lol.) You can call your ISP and ask them what type of connection you have (if its DSL ask about PPPOE or PPPOA.) Was there any documentation that came with the router that gives you a page to check diagnostics?
