S-RANK Twin

whats the deal with the S-RANK Twin? the database says it only adds 50 to your ATP, but in the screenshots it adds alot more than 50. I'm confused >.<

You need to look at the GC pic. It does show only 50 to ATP. The rest of the pics are for DC and PC.

The reason it's so weak is because online s-ranks have unholy grinds.

oh! ok i get it. it has a grind of 250 so thats +550 ATP at max grind, plus you can add any element to it that you want with PD's.

as for getting one, do you have to beat C-Mode all the way up to DF or can I just beat Stage 1 to get one? and if i do beat it, do i get to pick or is it random?

Yep, It only shows a pic of a +50
If yo ufully grind it, (+250) you can get it to add a maximum of 550 ATP.

with max ata the twin is damn good on a fomar. i use twin everywhere except mines and cca, where i use mechguns with my fomar. main problems is timing, you need to learn how to get a simple simple hard attack without getting interupted. once you master that, the twin is awesome.

Max ATA for FOmar is like... what 165? You still can barely hit things on places like Ruins, CCA, and Seabed. I know, my other MAG has 180 dex, it maxes my FOmar, but I still miss alot. It's the downfall of FOmars... and the HP. But everything else is pretty nice, only force that exceeds 1000 ATP (1002).

I got mine on my first torr also.

and fomars with max ata (163) will have trouble hitting rappies in ult. let alone anything in caves or beyond.

my FOmar is level 194 and i have been melee with the twin since 130. i would know what i can and cant hit. a simple simple hard combo will hit any enemy 90 percent of the time excpet stuff like del-d, delsaber etc. but basic enemies, the ones you see all the time, they are very easy to hit even with 203 ata(what your total is with max base and tiwn equipped). The FOmar takes some getting used to, i used to complain about ata, but i learned to time a simmple simple hard combo, and i hit just fine. A melee FOmar is a very challenging character, and one that keeps you playing, because every level means something.

Well isn't that wonderful, I know all about the timing of the attacks, But where I like to go, the enemies aren't so willing to be hit so easily. And if you miss... somehow, they seem to hit you and interupt the attack. (I know, it's unbelievable!), and uh, even though you might have played with FOmar alot longer than me, my FOmar has had his ATA maxed and has been using Holy Ray for quite some time, which is a pretty accurate weapon, seeing it's a rifle and all. About... what 230 or something with that on? And um... still misses quite a bit. That's doing a regular, regular, charge. About the only one that does hit is the 3rd and sometimes the 2nd, and god forbid if the 1st one hits... I perfer my Repeaters w/50%hit. Though the 1st hit is all misses when i'm at cca/seabed/ruins. I don't really like to go anyway else because bluefull's findings are a bit bland... everywhere else. And I have a pretty high RAmarl, I know what good ATA and bad ATA is.

and I dont have a fomar personally, but thats because I've played with them and HATED their performance. I value ata over every other stat, so they kinda dont appeal to me.

and I cant imagine how you can hit with 203 ata in online forest. my fomarl is ok with 210 ata on madames umbrella in offline mines w/zalure and online caves is 'meh' at best. and with weak/weak/hard combos, enemies will be hitting you all over the place, unless you runs around for a few minutes trying to get behind them.

I use Flight Fan or Rainbow Baton with Aelia.
I was lucky on the Flight Fan, but the Rainbow Baton is an easy one to get hit% to, and a very powerful weapon.

Otherwise I favour single target weapons, S-Rank Twin, Red Saber, Ancient Saber, Morning Glory, etc.

Soul Banish is also among my weapons of choice on my FOmarl.

i know what good and bad ata is as well. my RAmar is 175, and i have had his ata maxed(249) for about 10 levels. i go hard hard hard attack just about everywhere with just about any weapon. what i mean about timing on the twin is exactly how not to get interrupted on simple simple hard. once you figure it out(its not hard, im not trying to sound like i am the master of this), you will not get interruppted doing a simple simple hard, and you will hit 90 percent of the enemies 90 percent of the time. i still miss occasionally, but if you time it right you still dont get interrupted.
