Hey, for those who've never seen it . . I run a little PSO picture site with character pictures (single and group) at http://www.project-douraku.com/psoshots/ . . . It has some pretty nice pictures. If you want some pictures of your character taken and/or have pictures already that you'd like to put up. E-mail me at my internet e-mail address and we can arrange something! Some really high quality stuff there, folks. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif

Yes, I saw it and thanks. I try to do my best, but like everyone else, I do tend to go out of line or get carried away at times.

Hey wat...

It might be a good idea to add a tutorial on how to take pics of characters on your site. Some of us know how (I know how, just need to put TV Tuner in my comp.), but otehrs don't know how. You should also put some tips in on how to take close-ups etc. And some editing tips in your favorite software.

It would make this site 100% better!

Also, I am working on a Dreamcast Art site that would include art from any Dreamcast Game (I love the Extras folder on some of the games!!!), so be ready to post a lot of these pics there! LOL

Well, there's nothing special. You simply need a video card with composite or s-video input and the appropriate Dreamcast cable to plug into that input. (Either the standard RCA DC jacks or the S-video cable sold by Sega or 3rd parties. I'm currently using the S-video cable.) Then you simply need capturing software designed to work with your card or setup such as ATI Multimedia Center (for ATI cards) or anything else of that nature. I use an ATI All In Wonder 128 Pro with ATI Multimedia Center 7.1. Go to a place like Forest 2, Ruins 1, or the meadow of Dark Falz (after killing him), get the model on a sloped hill with the model being on the top and you at the bottom. You should have your back to the screen and the model should be facing directly opposite of you. Have them equip their weapons and de-equip their mags. (Mags sometimes make the shots ugly, but if you want mags in pics keep 'em.) Then just snap a still with your software. It's best to capture it in high resolution (640x480, 720x480) but some people can only capture in 320x240 or 640x240 . . If this is so, rescale your image to 640x480 with a high quality software such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. (I tend to find Paint Shop Pro rescales ALOT better than Photoshop, but then again, I was using Photoshop 5. I also don't have to rescale anymore with S-video.) If you want some cool hit poses use the player hit trick and snap a photo of them in their stun animations. Happy snap shotting.

On another note, talking to jazzyfox, a great place to take pictures is also the end of Endless Nightmare #2 (the caves quest.) After this quest is over, the awkward view doesn't go away until you pipe to town or take the teleporter. (So be sure to bring your weapons with you on the mission.) After you kill everything, there is a room with items. Have your model be the only one in that room. Then plug a controller into port 3 on your Dreamcast and press left on the directional pad while simultaneously hitting L+R. This will change your view to theirs. Then just have them do cool actions while you snap away and get some awesome shots! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif Again, credits to jazzyfox for this trick and awesome camera shot method.
