I just watched the worst gaming video ever created... Any of you remember the old Star Fox 64 Promo video Nintendo Power sent to thier readers back in '97? Well, I just dug it out of my attic while looking for my Gundam Wing tapes and I must admit this movie makes Kazaam look like pure genius. Of course this movie was made with like a $2.00 budget but who cares. I uploaded the last minute (out of ten) to a geocities site for your viewing pleasure. The movie is all about Sega and Sony teaming up to defeat Nintendo and get info about thier new "best game ever." It depicts Sony as a skinny, annoying, balding man, and Sega as a fat, annoying, moronic idiot. Pure cinematic genius.

I remember that video. I still have it, got it at Blockbuster for free. Scary stuff, yet the reason why I got a 64. Scary indeed.

I have all those videos sitting by the tv at home. I remember the first one... for Donkey Kong Country. Fun stuff. I think they had some spoiler for Killer Instinct there... can't remember.

Hey I found that tape a week ago when I was cleaning up! It was unopened so I promtly broke it in half and then broke the halves in half, It felt good.

Did anyone else get the video that had the Banjo-Kazooie promo on it? I cant remember anything about it except that it made me want to buy Banjo-Kazooie. So it couldn't have been as bad as the Starfox 64 one.

Man, that is one thing I REALLY miss about the old-school console wars that pretty much died with Sega. The vicious low-blow insults being traded back and forth. Sega was king of it, of course, but Nintnedo got a few good shots in there.

One of my favorite ads is of the Sega CDX. It's done up like a personal ad ripped out of the newspaper. It reads like.. " Single, Versatile, Attractive, Entertainer seeks Passionate Game Player for Non-Stop Action"... and right below it is another ad that reads "Concerned parent of two Italian brothers seeks old-fashioned partners for her plumber sons before their careers go down the toilet. No new-fangled CD technology please."

They were always doing crazy stupid things to piss off the competition. I remember when the PS2 launched, the CEO's at SOJ were out havin a celebratory golf game. Out of no-where rolls this huge Sega Van and a A-Hole in a Sonic the Hedgehog suit jumps out and starts bum rushing the Sony CEO's. They had security come out and keep Sonic at like a good distance away - but Sonic was still being a jerk by dancing around and taunting them - and trying to make them miss their golf-swings. It was hillarious.

I miss their old style. I thank god I had the foresight to save all of my old SegaVisions Magazines from back in the day.

I'll go on record right now to say that I think Nintnedo is stupid. Personally, I hate them.. I hate their policies, I hate their attitude, I hate their image, I hate their constant lies, and I hate most of their staff. They are most definately my least favorite gaming company ever.. always have been ever since I first started gaming. I have been, and will always be, a huge Sega fanboy. Screw Nintnedo.

Just because I loath Nintendo with a firey passion though, doesn't stop me from enjoying their consoles and many of their games. Out of the four consoles in this generation - the NGC is my second favorite, just behind the Dreamcast. I also have a GBA which I play everytime I get a chance to.

What can I say though, I'm a fan of games - and Nintnedo consoles just happens to have quite a lot of good ones.
