Weapons, That remind you of Another Game...

I've actually found a couple weapons that remind mje of other games I play that AREN'T Phantasy Star games... For Example:

God Hand - Power Fist in Warhammer 40,000 (For those who have heard of/played it)

Heaven Punisher - Bolter in Warhammer 40,000 (For those who have heard of/played it)

Double Saber Class - Twin Light Sabers in Starwars: Knights of the Old Republic

Chain Sawd - Chain Sword in Warhammer 40,000 (For those who have heard of/played it)

Enough Iron to be Deadly!

Supressed Gun - PP7 (Silenced) in Goldeneye 007... Also Falcon 2 Silenced in Perfect Dark.

Stag Cutlery = Darth Maul (SW ep1)

Visk = that alien rifle I cant remember the name of (Perfect Dark)

Drill Launcher = Drill Man (megaman)

Victor Axe if equipped to a FOnewearl with Angel Wings = Subaru's Axe (.HACK//SIGN)

Anti Android Rifle = Assault Rifle from one of my many war themed games

Yasminkov 7000V = one of them Arnold movies

Lavis Cannon reminds me of Zelda games because of the sword shooting, and an Ancient Saber reminds me of a Zelda game of Majora's Mask because it looks similar to a Kokiri Sword (but not the one from Ocarina of Time, and the blade of an Ancient Saber is longer though).

I think the Wals rifle looks like the Vindicare assassin's rifle (there's that missing name).
I also think that the NUG2000 Bazooka looks like a Space Marine's missile launcher, while a Gi Gue Bazooka looks a bit like an Eldar missile launcher.
Personally I think Rika's Claw looks like the huge power claw used by the Ork special character Warlord Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka, but that's just my opinion...


Off topic: I have lots of assorted 40K models, most of them being either Blood Angels or Eldar (with the converted Wave Serpent that White Dwarf magazine showed you how to make, I think it was issue 238 or possibly 237 for the American edition).

Wasn't Calisto the handgun? So I guess it was Farsight.

twin sabers remind me of Vyse's cutlass' from Skies of Arcadia

The guitar weapon (crazy tune) reminds me of axle's guitar from fighting vipers..

toy hammer reminds me of amy roses' hammer from sonic

and the black king bar looks like the bar that monkey uses in "monkey"

Hmm.. Yasminkov 7000V is based off of a real model, the SPAS-12, or Sporting Purpose Automatic Shotgun - 12 gague. Used by the military and in countless games/movies (Half-Life or Terminator anyone?).

Yasminkov 3000R, reminds me of 2 guns. First of the Thompson Machinegun, but since it is a rifle it is obviously not this. And second it looks like a Rifle version of a Luger. Now the Luger was much smaller and had no wooden parts (obviously as it was a pistol) but what makes it seem like a Luger is the bolt action. Very similar to both guns though. Almost like a pistol/rifle.

NUG Bazooka - umm... well a bazooka, a more modern one at that.

Crazy Tune - ugh that guy from Chrono Cross. His guitar.

All photon sabers - dur Light Sabers from Star Wars.

Huge Battle Fan - I don't remember what game I just remember seeing it, maybe a giant version of the Battle Fans from SSB.

Standstill Shield looks like a paint stripped version of the Magic Shield from the old NES Dragon Warrior I. Not a weapon, but still, has similarities.

Char Aznable's custom Gelgoog (http://www.ne.jp/asahi/sh/g-explanation/gif/3df-yms14.jpg) has a double-bladed beam naginta, which looks like the Partisan of Lightning. There's also the WORKS Guard, an as yet unreleased item that looks like a smaller version of the Victory Gundam's beam shield.

Just so you know, you think of that because that's what it is. Dragon Ball was based off of the legend of the Monkey King or something like that, it's not completely an original work. I don't remember all the details. But either way, the Power Pole is the Monkey King Bar, in a way. So yeah, I'm not surprised at all.

And all of those names (I think) came from Ancient Japanese dynasties/kingdoms/whatever. And I remember that the Yamato sank in ww2. (I was there! No you weren't! Were too!)

And I still have fun prentending that the pallash is a lightsaber.

The Harisen used to be an actual weapon as well, although not as out of proportion as that.

The Monkey King Bar is part of an old children's tale known as Saiyuki, about a priest (or was it monk) that had the extendable Myuubo (the mkb) and the "flying nimbus". If you watch enough anime, you see it all over the place (DBZ, PSO, Read or Die, Naruto, etc).

The regular saber reminds me of the Chaos Breaker from Shining Force.
