My racaseal is now lvl 100 http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif and I'm starting a new character. Anyone like to suggest a new character type to try, giving advantages/disadvatages?
Thanks ! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

I would recommend FOnewearl. Why? They're the cutest! And any technique user other than perhaps the RAmar will give you a new experience compared to the RAcaseal. Here's run down of your options:

HUmar, HUnewearl: Advantages are that they get to use swords--melee combat is pretty different from guns--and they're powerful. Disadvantage is that everyone's a HUmar or HUnewearl. They can use the most special weapons, too.

HUcast: Advantages...umm...nothing that you can't get with a HUmar or HUnewearl. Disadvantages include that there are a ton of HUcasts and you still can't use techniques.

RAmar: Advantage is that you get to use the same sort of weapons you're used to. Disadvantage is that you get to use the same sort of weapons you're used to.

RAcast, RAcaseal: pointless

FOmarl, FOnewearl, FOnewm: Advantage is that you get the most different sort of play compared to RAcaseal. Disadvantage is that they're not as powerful as Hunters and their lower power can make them frustrating to play. Of the three, FOnewearl is the least common among U.S. players (lots of them among Jp players).

As an android you are already familiar with constant trips to the shops for mates and stuff. With a Force, it's fluids. Lots of fluids. Oh my god lots of fluids. In the single player and with poor teams you'll ALSO be getting alot of mates as well since your TP is basically reserved for fighting.

For any Force the best advice is get a good TP replenishing handgun. My Soul Raygun works decent, replaces 5% per hit. Too bad Forces are lousy shots. FOmarl do have the best accuracy of the 3 though.

I went from RAmar to FOmarl and man what a difference. I must hit the shops 2-3 times per level. Playing on levels you are overkill on (like my L46 on Normal Forest for instance) is financially disasterous since the items you sell can't make up for the TP you spend. Without that raygun my expenses would be uncontrollable.

Still, the prospect that you could go into battle with no weapon at all is pretty cool. I normally don't use a weapon on boss stages, which means I basically have nothing to lose. How keen! Dragon on ice, fried De Rol Le, bad static shock for Vol Opt.. Falz gets a little of everything.

Now if only I had more shortcut buttons..

I played a RAmar up to lvl 100 and then started a new FOnewearl. I'm glad I did. It is more challenging, but makes you think more about how you play (especially which shortcuts to customise, how to combine techniques and weapons in the fight and how to raise your mag).

Plus of course, being tiny and cute gets you everywhere!

I presume the word 'ring' doesn't quite have the same connotation for those outside the UK. I suppose 'chocolate starfish' (a vulgar term if ever there was one) is probably wasted on you as well.

Let's just say that if I was the proud owner of a red ring, I'd be off down the pharmacist (drugstore to our linguistically challenged cousins) for some ointment pretty damn quickly.

Enough of this vulgarity http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif
Anyway, I tried a force last night - for about 45 minutes. Pretty hard going, isn't it? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_frown.gif I'm now a hunewearl which suits my style better. Hope to see some of you around http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

In that case, shouldn't you change your sig? ^_^

Buffy : Behold my mighty magic !
*RAmar levels, aims and fires punisher*
Buffy : Umm, leave some for me...

^_^ Hehehe... kidding. ^_^

'Course it is! ^_^ We gotta love the fact that we... uh... have more TP than hunters and the RAmar! ^_^;;

Oh well. ^_^ Least the game is more challenging now. ^_^ Then again, I beat Vol Opt at level 19... oh well! Maybe Hard version will be a challenge! ^_^
