Stranded...

I was happily firing up my GC to go play Ep3 when suddenly...a lot of undesirable sounds come from my GC and the "we cannot read your disc, so check your GC information" screen pops up. I press "up" to go to the game selection part. Once again, I get unpleasant sounds and a disc read error.

I put Ep1&2 in then, it got as far as loading without any bad sounds, but once it got to the game, automatic shut-down and disc read error...can anyone please tell me what's going on? I'd like to play Ep3 once again http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Dirty lense in the gamecube?
scratched game discs?

try cleaning the lense in the gamecube with a dry cotton wool bud.

hm, I cleaned out every part of my GC...still disc errors, but if I try about 5 times, it works..I think that 12 hours straight last friday was too much for it http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_mad.gif

EDIT: Every day I play Ep3, the more disc errors I get..took me an hour and a half of disc read errors, cleaning the GC, and hitting my GC out of fury, and it finally worked...

then about 20 minutes ago it failed on me after working for about 4 hours straight...I don't want to bother going through the disc read errors..does anyone have any advice for this situation? I really don't want to spend money for another GC, although I have enough...
