Hey there, i am curious about importing epi 3 from the US. Since the date has been set back to July for us unfortunate PAL people, i decided that i really don't want to wait that long if i can avoid it.

First thing, hunters licence. Will a HL for PAL epi 1+2 work on NSTC epi 3? (Or the other way round.) See i will probably still want to play epi 1 + 2 online, and don't fancy paying double the HL. I am presuming that paying for the HL won't matter, because i can just use my solo to pay in $ yes? Or even better, is there a way to access the EU HL site?

Next, ofline multiplayer. If my friends are patient and wait for PAL epi 3, will i be able to play them with my saved character?

Are there any other worries involving importing? Getting a freeloader shouldn't be too hard if thats a possible one.

Thanks a ton! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

PS. Sorry if this has already been posted, i actually did look this time to see if i could find any importing faqs, whether it be JP -> US or US -> EU, but i couldn't find any.

You'll need a seperate HL, you can't use solo, only visa or mastercard, you won't be able to play offline multiplayer with a different region of PSO.

The only other worry is you'll need to be using an RGB scart lead or have a TV that is NTSC compatible or you will end up with a black and white picture.

Oh wow, in other words i'm screwed http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

Stupid region coding, looks like i'm waiting! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_bash.gif http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_cry.gif

I don't normally use this many smilies, dw.

Sigh, don't you think it's a shame that it comes out so much earlier in other countries? I mean even you guys in the US must be fustrated by the early JP release, think how we feel. I also think it's a shame that all these guides are being released. I mean i loved the guides for epi 1 + 2 cos they were useful when i got stuck, but everyone's going to have the same deck the way this is going.

Just out of intrest, does anyone know how many cards there are in the game? Roughly? 'Cos in MTG there are 10 years worth of expansions, and even in Yu-Gi-Oh there are tonnes of possibilties. I just figure it will (also) be a shame if some ultimate deck was worked out, posted on here, and then everyone used it, a bit like you've got the few super-weapons on epi 1 + 2, J-sword, Dark Flow, Heaven's punisher etc, it's all you see people using. Dunno, i just feel that a card game has to have loads of verity, and if one deck seems stongest, it'll only be a matter of time until someone makes one that's stronger.

I'd like to feel that my deck is mine and mine alone, like in MTG you choose 60 out of the tens of thousands of cards, you aren't going to find someone who matches you card for card, or even anyone who is really simmilar. Dunno if that's what the game is like or not, but with all these guides on psow, and the card databases and everything, i'm starting to feel like it might not go how i want it to.

Ah well, we don't always get what we want.

This is going to be moved to the rants forum isn't it...
