It's an online multiplayer game which is completely unrelated to PSO. Recent reviews are looking good - It's basically a massive online community, where you get to play the role of your choice and go on quests etc. with your friends.
I just hope there isn't a subscription fee, but there probably will be anyway http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

The game isn't even out yet, and people are reviewing it? Thats why I take reviews from Amazon.com with a grain of salt, they're probably not accurate unless the date of the review is after the game was released.

Yeah, any "reviews" that you see are fake. The game isn't even at the point to let a trial to the public yet.

That's a preview.

I personally love reading Amazon.com reviews before the game/system/whatever comes out. They can be really funny sometimes. My favorite are the people who say they have an inside source through several confusing relations that allowed them to play the game beforehand and it is either the "best game evar!!!11" or "the worst game.. go play FF7!!!11!"

Is it also related to DOA3? Gave me the choice to buy it with that http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Sounds like an awesome game. To bad I don't have XBOX live or I might actually try it.

I'm definately getting TFLO when it comes out. I like the idea of having both combat and non-combat skills which you can increase through practice to help you advance through the game. It's entirely possible to play TFLO for however long you want - gain power - and not have to kill a single enemy. It doesn't work that way. Similar to Marrowind and QFG, you raise your skills through practice. They just don't arbitrairily raise by killing stupid enemies. How does killing a rat with a stick help increase your cooking skills? How does it raise your intelligence? How does it make a character a better carpenter?

Plus, the level of customization is just amazing. Everything from height/girth to the shape of your nose and lips are customizable. Even when you start playing, you're given a house which you can decorate and design it any way you choose.

I think TFLO is going to be one of those few games which really push the envelope and break new ground for other games in it's genre to follow - but will unfortunately be largely ignored by the mass gaming market. Other companies will follow, taking TFLO's ideas and passing them off as something "New" and "Revolutionary".
