Well... that's good! I hadn't had the chance to try either yet. But I assumed that to be the case since on the front page of PSOW it says, "US players can do thess quests as well if they use japanese as their language setting." And after my last try playing using JP as my setting, I had no inclination to try it again.

Ok having not played the DC version, I'm not familiar with this quest. However, I brought the Valentine's Choco. and the Bouquet to the Principal. He marked them and told me to give the Present to the female char who gave me the Chocolates and have her come and see him. Well that char no longer exists (I recreated a new char over the top of her long ago lol) so I gave the present to a different female char. So now when he examines the present, he gives me so a magic rock "heart key". So my question is, if I had used the female char who actually gave my male char the choco, would the Principal then turn it into the actual equippable Flower Bouquet? I'm thinking thats how it goes down, but I can't confirm it.

Thankfully I already have the equippable FB (which actually really sux so I'm not sure why I said thankfully) but I would like to know if I'm right.

that was for the ep 3 dengeki/st appreciation quests. which is why is mentioned there and not in the ep 1 & 2 part.

VioletSkye, in dc, he gives you a flower bouquet. did anyone else do this quest?

You can earn the Flower Bouquet weapon at the TTF Quest, if you give the FOmarl at Pioneer2 the Candy you get earlier at the "Principal's Gift" Quest.

I've tried it, but the FOmarl said something about ID's and will not give me the Flower bouquet......why?

Can someone elaborate a little? I could really use a Heart Key. I read in another topic that it had to be Valentine's Chocolate, not just regular Chocolate. Its not supposed to have the "Use" option. Is that correct? I have five Chocolates from the Valentine's Quest with Nol cooked to be the best in Universe (lol), but maybe I havent done something right with them from back then?

I have some valentines chocolate, but from another of my offline (female) chars. Is it just the last person who dropped it you need to be with, or the person who made it, or what? I might need to meet up with someone to get me the equippable boquet.

There are 2 types of chocolate in the game. One is the chocolate that you can buy and have Nol cook, and is also useable with a variety of effects depending on how long it cooked. The second chocolate is a green box item that reads Valentine's Chocolate. That is the one (Valentine's Chocolate) that you need to take with you along with the flower bouquet to the principal in the White Day quest. The Principal will take those items and give you back a Present (if you open it right away, it will just be a flower bouquet, so don't do that.) Give the Present to any female char and redo the White Day quest. Go see the principal and he will then turn the Present into a magic rock "heart key".

What I wanted to know was, if the female char is the same char that earned the Valentine's Chocolate and takes the present to the Prinicpal, will that female char receive the "equippable" version of the Flower Bouquet? I think she will but I can't confirm it because my original female char was remade. However since I already have an "equippable" Flower Bouquet, its not a big deal, I just wanted to know if thats how it works.

Yeah, I went on last night, immedietely after server mainatnence and beat White Day, got the annoying Flower Bouquet (unequippable). So if I bring this to the principal with chocolate from Principals Gift, what will happen? not until the valentine's quest comes around next year. Then make sure to keep that female char and next year at this time you can have her bring the present to the Principal LOL. There was another way to get the Flower Bouquet in another quest that required candy but I can't remember what it was.

I got the candy from the principal secret quest and took it to the FOmarl on ttf and she says it has the wrong id.

I am doing the ttf with the same person I got the candy with, so why am I getting this message? I have even tried showing her the flower bouquet from white day (which I also got with the same person), but that doesn't help matters >.<

heh they finally changed the White Day quest info for GC and X Box which confirmed what I thought all along, you can't get an equippable FB from that quest. You can only get a magic rock "heart key". Oh well, thats a hell of a lot better than the equippable FB (which is as useless as the game magazine.)

I'd like to add that it's pretty easy to screw this quest up. It seems you only get one chance to wrap that flower boquet, gentlemen, so make sure you do it before you leave. If you realize you don't have your chocolate with you, save & quit before finishing the quest, otherwise the Rappies will be by later to use you for a statue.

Also, if you've recieved multiple Valentine's chocolate, good luck figuring out which one to bring for a present. Now, if it's even still possible to, I have to wait one whole year to try again -_-

It doesn't matter which Valentine's Chocolate you bring. I tried with 3 different VC's (one I got on my own, 2 I received from others) and all of them worked just fine. The quest is easy as hell actually. Bring a VC, go down to caves and grab the 3 flowers, have the cake lady wrap them for you (back at Pioneer 2), then go see the Principal (he will say that he marked the FB and VC and give you a Present.) Give the Present to ANY female char and have the female char see the Principal in the White Day quest for a magic rock 'heart key". BTW if you forgot the VC, you don't need to save and exit. Grab the flowers, have them wrapped then finish the quest. You can go back at any time after you have the FB and see the Principal. He will still hook you up with a present. To clarify I meant that you can get the FB and finish the quest, then start up the White Day quest again at a later time when you have the VC with you and still get the present (only male chars are capable of getting the Present from the Principal.)

There is a part of what the Principal says when you go to have him give you the present that is EXTREMELY misleading. He will say that you need to give the Present to the same female char that gave you the VC, thats COMPLETE BS!! You can give the Present to ANY female char. ST obviously forgot to fix that portion of the quest. I created a new level 1 female char from scratch just to use for the Quest and she had no problem at all getting the magic rock "heart key". heh i editted my post, so you might not have seen, but basically i just pointed out that you can ignore the Principal completely when he tells you to give the Present to the same female char that gave you the VC because it doesn't matter at all which female char takes the Present to him in the White Day quest. He will still give her a magic rock "heart key". I guess ST didn't bother to rewrite that part of the dialogue. Thats because when he asks for it, your inventory will pop up and you have to select the Present. If you were clicking buttons quickly, you probably accidently choose the first item in your inventory (maybe a weapon or something) and thats why you received that message. I did that also on accident the second time I brought a female char to the Principal. I mistakenly selected another item instead of the Present and he said the exact same thing. Go back and try it again and be careful to select the Present in your inventory and you'll be fine. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Trade Candy for Flower Bouquet
You need candy from Principal's gift- White Day's quest to play this part of the quest. The id inscribed on the candy needs to be the id of the person you are playing this current quest with. Meaning: you need to play with the same person as you did the white day quest. If the candy you have does not have the id of the person you are playing with, you will be told to come back. Talk to the FOmarl by the check room. She will congratulate you for having such a strong bond. Trade the candy for the flower boquet.

Malkavian and I followed this to a T and still got the message that the ID is wrong. It didn't make sense, considering we earned the candy from Principal's Gift and then immediately went into TTF in hopes of getting a Flower Bouquet weapon. Malk also mentioned that he had the same problem with another person earlier and that he talked to some Japanese folks that were also having this problem. From our experiences either the quests/items are broken, or ST made changes to how things work this year. So I guess the question is: has anyone actually managed to get the Flower Bouquet weapon from TTF? Please explain in detail if you have.

Oh and if it helps, none of my characters have ever earned a Flower Bouquet weapon. I can't speak for Malk, but I'm pretty sure he hasn't ever received one, either.

How do i get the candy with the ID in it? I did the Principals Gift quest with a friend several times on vhard, always pressing the buttons at the same time. And we always got the "candy". Not the one with the ID in it. What did we do wrong ? Is it only on ultimate ?

You need the "special candy" with your friends ID in it to get it changed by the FO in TTF. Problem is: Noone knows how to get this "special candy".
Maybe two things i havent tested will work:
1. make a perfect "Principals Gift" run on ultimate (i doubt that will work. All of the previous quest items can be obtained on vhard AND ult)
2. After recieving the candy go to TTF and make the Love check. Try to change the candy after completing the Love Check with your "Principals Gift" Partner. (I will try that today)

I did this with Kef last night and got the special candy here is what we did.

We used

Fonewm (Redria)
Fomarl (Redria)

However i'm not sure if that makes any difference we also played on normal.

We didn't press the switches in the forst room and then we timed it so we pressed all the other switches at the same time. I got this idea from the "Love test" in TTF. Since you have to work as a team and the same FOmarl is involved it made sense.

When we finished the quest we got the special candy and then loaded TTF on normal spoke to the FOmarl by the bank and got our flower boquet (saber)

I finally got the ID candy successfully 3 times.
I think it is about time the switches and do it fast.
The first tries that didnt have success were in V-Hard. And I did them correctly doing the switches perfectly. The only difference in normal is speed.

Question on the candy. When you say "special candy", is that its name? Or is it just "candy", marked with your partner's id? (ie you can get candy that's not marked with your partner's id?)

I played on Normal, turned on the lights at the beginning, and we got candy marked with the id.

The actual key element to obtaining the Flower Bouqet weapon in TTF, after a succesful completion of Principal's Gift, is that the teammates are of the opposite sex.

Fomar and Hucaseal worked for us, we had perfect timing on all switches.

Our next run it was Hucaseal and Fomar (two different characters), we missed the timing on the switches several tims, but yet we managed to get the flower bouquets.

In both cases the IDs did not refer to section IDs but characters ID, as in Character name. Both instances were done on Normal. Lights were out in both runs, so I am not certain how the lighthing affects this.

ok ive done a few runs today and i can confirm that you need 8 mins left on the clock at least if you are playing on a normal lv to get the special candy. not sure about hard, vhard or ult.

second one, i think capricornus figured out that there is a limit of 2 false synchro-switchings (i guess its pretty easy to get all switched correctly when one counts down)

then i think its essential that both players are finished with their solo room before entering and/or before killing the last enemy in room 2.

I've been trying to trade my present in on the White Day quest, but the Principal isn't taking it. After asking to look at my Flower Bouquet, I show him the Present. Instead of giving me the Heart Key though, he gives me a couple lines about being "Sorry" and "Nevermind". Any idea what is going on?

No dont open the present! the female char that you are using, was it the same char that made the v-choc? It needs to be as i understand it. or maybe you have already gotten a heart-key with this char, if so try a differnt char, but i believe it has to be a female char.

Why o why didnt sega publish a guide for this game lol. I know the answer already game to big and they are always adding to it!

I've tried giving the Present to three different characters now, including the one that originally made the chocalate. Everytime I show the Principal the Present, I get the following lines:

"..."
"Sorry..."
"Seems I got it wrong. Never mind."

The characters I have tried have been on different memory cards and different Hunter's Licenses.

I know I didn't get a Heart Key last year. Is there anyone I need to talk to before going to the Principal?

the val choco is tied to the HL you were using to make it. return it to the char who made it and it should work.

I tried returning it to the character that made the chocalate, but I got the same results.
