You can use PSO Explorer (http://www.psoexplorer.com/). The site looks really cheesy but its legit. I've known a few people who used it with no problems http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

how was your credit card number stolen?
As far as a i know, PSO explorer only takes new subscriptions and not renewals.

If your woried about security, you may as well get rid of your credit card altogether.
people can steal the numbers in several different ways:
If you use it in a shop someone can run the card through a secondary reader and use the data to make a forged card with your numbers, or just use the numbers, alternativly they can take the numbers from any till receipt duplicates.

If you use it over the phone, the person at the pther end may make a personal note of the information you give them about the card, and its also posible for someone to listen in to your phonecall ( phone tapping) and get inforamtion that way.

Also people may be able to gian access to any bank statements and till receipts that contain any info that you throw away.

As for online, thats just as safe, if not safer than any other method, make sure that
you computer is up to date with software updates
you have an antivirus program running
And the website you are putting your credit card details into is linked to the product you are buying
and displays its address as https://

This is the payment site for the European PSO renewal page
https://www.playsega.com/site/public/secure/psogc/psogc_1.jsp;jsessionid=810BD93DB945A8F941B6F83D7D7 529B9.apps2

As you can see, it begins with https:// and internet explorer also displays a littel padlock to show its a secure site, if you right click on the site, select properties then you can also view the security certificate.

Spyware typically does not mine for credit card info. All it does is track your browsing. Use something like Ad Aware and Spybot periodically remove any spyware.

You may have had some type of trojan or keylogger on your pc that sent that info to someone else.

o i guess. all i know is i need to find some way to pay for online. lol and you are the one that helped me to get online in the first place http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

i also think that i have alot of viruses. and i cant update the virus scanner because it freezes. every person caught sending viruses and stuff should be put in jail for 15+ years.

Most people who spread viruses have no idea they are doing it. I have a D2 site with over 3000 members and I receive a minimum of 3 to 4 email viruses daily from members whose pc's are infected. My Antivirus always catches them and deletes them so its not a big deal (I also use Eudora for my email client), but it is annoying lol.

Check out McAfee's FreeScan (http://us.mcafee.com/root/mfs/default.asp?cid=9059). It won't try to repair or remove any viruses, but at least you'll know what if any viruses, trojans, worms, keyloggers etc. are on your pc.
