Game Maker Tutorials

I need help!
I'm planning to make a SSBM like fighting game (except WAY simpler) with Game Maker except...
I forgot how to do it!!
Does anyone have a tutorial how, or a tutorial for:
F-Zero type racing games
shooters (like R-type)

Anything will be appreciated.

well I might have been able to give you a guide but unfortunetly I DON'T KNOW WHAT GAME MAKER IS.

Dark basic is gd to program with.. apparently.. I just havent got round to using it yet . i will one day

I also use Game Maker, I have some sites, but I must find them.
