Are there any quests where you get mats as prizes for completing them? I'm especially interested in Luck mats.

Why did you post a link to Rappy's Holiday? The only way to get Luck Mats from that quest is through the Lottery and they VERY RARELY ever show up. You'll find about 20-30 TP mats before you get a Luck Material through the Lottery. (At least in my experience that has been the case.)

I believe TTF is the easiest and fastest way to get Luck mats other than trading with ppl.

Do it the TTF way. If u find 2 ppl to take care of all the baddies then u shouldnt have a problem. If u get good enough help u could probably get 2 luck mats in an hour.

2 Luck mats in an hour. Thats laughable. If it takes you that long, don't bother! Maxed out Luck is not THAT good. Just grab a couple God/Lucks or some God/Abilitys if you need it that bad. Or do it my way and trade ppl for their Luck mats, just make sure you don't get any duped mats! >_< (Yes I realize that God/Luck takes a while to pipe for and God/Ability is hard to find.)

Maxed out luck owns, believe me, and God/Luck takes a slot that could be used by a better unit, same for God/Ability which is very rare btw.

when you beat ttf you get 2 luck mats? or does it have to be under a certain amount of time? If so how much?

No, you get no mats as prizes from TTF. He was saying that by killing every enemy in the quest he usually finds at least two mats.

When looking for mats I've always just done the Fake in Yellow quest in Ultimate, but thats offline...

ok, to clear things up:

to get "sure" luck mats in TTF, you have to play the sub-quest within - talk to the FOmarl by the bank and do the love test (need to be two players, male and female).

if you have a good love rate (stay very close to eachother ALL the time - a love heart helps a lot since it emits hearts when being in that range - boss areas are excluded), you'll each get a luck mat.


then for rappies holiday...
so far i gambled there for over 60 TP mats and havent found a Luck mat yet. if you really get them from there, then they're really rare...


i suggest normal runs through areas...
caves ult were quite generous to me lately.

you'd be most lucky in normal mode caves and normal mode spaceship.


for mat diets...
well, of course you could go for 100 luck, but since there are lots of weapons that add 10 or 15 luck as well there is still the oportunity to find a god/ or hero/ability (which adds 20 / 10 luck) on the way to level 200 / maxing stats, i'd say (especially when you have several chars) it might be the best idea to settle for a base luck of 70 or so.

Uh, I'd say God/Ability is the best unit so using a God/Ability is not wasting a slot. And yes it is rare but that's because it is the best.

Yes, I meant getting the luck mats from the love meter test. I m sayn that to get the luck mats just get a team of 4 peeps and have 2 peeps do the love meter test. These 2 peeps just stand close together, and the other 2 peeps take out all the baddies in the lvls (it doesnt matter during boss fights). When i posted i assumed that everybody checks the guides first before postn.

It's the best to YOU (and probably to many people, but that's not the point).
If it was the best, I would not disagree.

I have to main points :
-20 to all stats is nothing, and it is one stat less to androids.
20 to ATP is like 3 more damage, 20 to DFP is ok if you are Lv 100 or under, 20 to MST is ludicrous, 20 to EVP is equally useless.
So if I was to use stat-boosting weapons, I'd much rather use God/Power, Arm, Mind?, Legs, Body, HP...
But to me, only HP and Arm have a use at all.

-I would NEVER leave a slot to be used by a useless stat-boosting unit over a Cure one, that have proven oh-so-useful compared to stats ones.

Are my points clear ?

Your point on the god ability is true, but i think this thread is more towards mats, which if u compared the different god units to the god ability this is what u would c:

god (power,mind,luck,evasion) = 15 to 25 mats
god ability = 40 to 50 mats

-variance of the god units is due to diff unit values (i.e. god mind +40, god power +50)
-variance of the god ability is due to diff char (i.e. no mst for androids)
