Deck Selection After Battle

Im pretty new to ep3 so i wouldn't know what happened. After I picked a deck it scrolled through a few cards I already had. When it got to savage wolf something happened, but im not sure what exactly happened. Could anyone please tell me what happened,I hope I didn't miss anything. Thank you.

You probably had a card attempt to evolve. Sometimes a card will change into a better one, and sometimes it will try and fail. It will glow for a bit when it starts.

Thank you I didn't know, but I do know it failed. Is there anywhere else I could find out about this?
