I'm not sure, but I think I remember reading somewhere that killing the bosses from Normal - Vhard would get you to lvl 32, so it seems quite impossible to get to ULT at lvl 34...

Aiya

Yah I figured that. With the minamal amount of baddies to kill you'd have to be at the very least Lv.36 unless he cheated.

if you go and start on Ep1 until Vhard...you will be bout Lv.27..from there start Vhard on ep2and if you beet it using the maps going the right way and no detours, you should make it at exactly 34 with bout 100exp needed to next level up...trust me...it isnt impossible, it is just hard;Vhard. i used bout 20 scape dolls, but i made it...without cheating and i am being honest

Kiri
Mar 22, 2004, 11:25 PM
if you do this you should get 54050 Exp. from the bosses, which would make you bout Lv.26. so that is proof that i did not cheat. now all you have to do is try for your self and i gaurenty you that it will work if you use the maps and go the right way with no detours.

It is possible to be a level 34 on ultamate! You have to get everything perfect in order to do this though. That would be very tough. I didn't calculate the enamies that could be skipped. That is so cool! Lv.24 on ultamate! Good going.

It is easier with Episode II, well easier in the fact of less base experience gained that is. But why get in so early? You will just get pwned by the Bartles and El Rappys. XD

My records are pathetic so you can all have a good laugh. ver. 3 was the first PSO I had any experience on. My first character had crappy weapons, and I had no idea what the hell I was doing. (I still kind of don't http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif ) My Hucast did it at lvl 80. ha ha ha. Then my force at lvl 60 cause I spent a lot of time on multiplayer and doing quests and repeating levels. With my Ranger, like 59, cause I was just procrastinating (I think I grew gray watching you pro?CRASTINATE, la la la. sorry, song "Certain shade of green," good song. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif ) my Humar is?shut up? lvl 54 on cave cause he spends like 75% of his time on 2p, plus I'm not giving him weps from my higher guys. But his still kicking ass on cave and could easily whip falz. So, have a good laugh.

beating v-hard falz is a cool benchmark.

How can you defeat VHard Falz with a character whose level is less than 40? So many of his attacks will kill you outright that you would need more Scape Dolls than I believe it is possible to acquire by the time you got to VH Falz. I don't believe it's possible.

I don't see the big deal in getting to Ultimate early. Personally, the lowest i've been in ultimate is level 50, and even that was extremely difficult, so how you can cope with being in ultimate at level 35 is beyond me.

Arislan
Mar 23, 2004, 09:35 AM
Simple, you do it for the achievement of having done it.

And you can acquire enough Scapes, it's called transferring them from another character. Sure, it's not uber ultra mega hyper legit, but it's the only possible way at that level.

TheGoldenVoid
Mar 23, 2004, 10:07 AM
Pffft. If you are allowed to transfer stuff, then hitting Ultimate at a low level like that is no big deal. As long as you can survive the 2 main large attacks Falz does, beating him is absolutely no problem, you won't even need a Scape Doll. I thought they were talking about a character grown from zero and only using his own stuff (no transferring).

I believe my lowest lvl was about 39 or 40 with a Ramarl, but i actually wasnt even trying to achieve the goal of gettign to Ultimate at a lower lvl, if i really wanted to maybe i would try it sumtimes, but i never use them maps and i end up doign most of the entire lvl without skipping routes, cuz there are always certain items im looking for, and beside gettin to Ultimate at lvl 40 or 30 or whatever isnt much of a difference, seeing is that u dont really get much better in 10 lvls, its actually the stuff your have equipped and certain mags or weapons your using that make u strong, see my point?

This thread filled really fast. I think that if I pampered a guy with scape dolls and good beginner weapons; and if I could find the time; then I could probably get to ult at 38-45.

BTW, AKA_Hotei, I now have your Rukmin mag/avatar. I have no idea how though. I'm offline, so i leveled my mag to 200 (stats 18/92/82/8) and it became "Rukmin" in yellow letters. My color is orange because the red outfit gives you a Orange mag. It's cool, it looks like it's plotting something.

But I have done this myself. My RAmar went from normal to ultimate. he was level 41 when I beat falz and leveled up to 42.
I did every level once fighting MOST of the enemies and doing no quests. This lead to me being on ultimate at level 42. My ass got pwned. but this was with a char with awesome equipment like a level 200 mag heaven's punisher and frozen shooter. I had a hard time on Falz V.Hard. the only thing that kept me alive was HP materials and scape dolls.so unless you fight ONLY the enemies you have to and go right to the bosses, I say the lowest you can do is 40.

Like i said it doesnt matter how low of a lvl you get to Ultimate, lvl 34 to 40 dont make a difference & doesnt prove how good you are, its what you have equipped which makes it easy, to prove my point take a lvl 1 character equip him with a 4 slot frame a lvl 200 mag several god powers or god arms and boom u can already equip some powerful rare swords or guns, take a lvl 50 character without any rare weapons or god units and he is more usless than the lvl 1 character.

Why the heck is this board so rife with petty juvenile insults? Oh wait....

FYI I was simply commenting that boasting about beating hard aspects of the game with a low level character is pretty dumb since anyone can make a ridiculously overpowered character by transferring the right equipment. I also see no connection between what I posted and your petty jibe anyway.

Well, since you can't hit anything in ultimate until level 60 ish with a damn good weapon / an ultimate rare, you're going to need a magic casting character to enjoy ultimate at lower levels.
That said, the chart is different for DC:
Dragon : 400 + 2000 + 4100
De Rol Re: 700 + 2500 + 4700
Vol opt: 1100*2 + 3000*2 + 5300*2
Dark Falz: 1600 + 3500 + 5900
Total : 6500 + 7900 + 18800 + 11000 = 44200 exp

My very own ultimate log : (fools who want to hit Ultimate at level 30 ish, read on)
I reached ult with a HUnewearl (lv 54), a FOnewearl (lv 60) and a HUmar (lv 54). The Hunewearl had a Varista + 50% on natives and 20% hit, so she could get through Forest more or less easily (she dealt 50odds damage with Shifta/Jellen). The 2 others had to Foie/Barta/Zonde/Gizonde/Grantz their way through. It took the Fonewearl 4 stocks (40 difl 40 trifl) and 3 hours, as well as 3 scape dolls. (I had already experienced it all with the poor HUmar). Said HUmar had first to level up to 60 something, then got through the level in about 4 hours time, thanks to a 4 slots Nelgal Armour (I could Resta after a superhit, instead of dying on the spot)
Then came the Caves. My Humar got through at level 76. When Foie makes 41 damage to Da Ral Rie... there's not much you can do. I had to wait for a Red Handgun + 20% on Altered to beat it. My HUnewearl still isn't through, I'm doing VH Ruins runs with her (she seems to find all kinds of rare units). She still has no Ultimate rare. My Fonewearl beat Caves fairly soon, after 4 tries. The RH + 35% on altered helped.
And then (you guessed it) Mines. The HUmar did 35 Damage (with a RH + 30% on Machines), so I had to level up "a bit". I cleared Vol Opt the first time at level 94, the second time to open the ruins at level 96. A Mines run took about 3 and a half hour, even then. My FOnewearl beat vol opt at level 90, but that's only thanks to Grantz lv20 + Wizard technique that I could go through the Mines. Gifoie lv23, Gizonde lv24, and Foie lv24 sure helped too. I used 11 scape dolls on the boss. Damn green ball! I'll be opening the Ruins today hopefully, so I expect her to be around lvl 92/93.
My Humar went through Ruins. It took him 8 hours at the first try, but I didn't touch DF. He's now lvl 112 and still cannot do the Ruins quests, nor beat DF (and believe me I tried. 16 scape dolls and my mag revived me 7 times. I hit it's last form about 5 times in 12 minutes of fighting). The weapon is an Ancient Saber + 30% on Dark. (only Rare he can use. Yas9k? forget it, HUmar. Twinkle Star? I don't pick them up anymore. Imperial pick? 120 ATP to go until I can equip it)

If you still want to play ultimate early, get a maxed mag with 195 mind or forget it.
Dismissed.

Saffran are you playing a version other than the GameCube Ep 1 and 2? They must have toned down Ultimate a lot I guess. I hit it recently for the first time with FOmar at level 70 and was surprised (read "disappointed") with how damn easy it was. I was dealing 360 damage to basic enemies with level 17 Foie (with a Club of Laconium). 4 Hits killed each enemy. My Force could take 3 Hits before dying on average - though I never actually died. I got right through to the end of Caves without mishap and with little difficulty. Something doesn't add up. Your experience sounds much more painful than mine has been.

I'm playing DC ver2. The FOrces don't have innate special powers, and the magic resistance of the ennemies is about 60% higher than on GC, or completely different, depending.
example: Bartles. With a FOnewearl with 600 MST and Foie lv20, you make 130 damage on DC, and 239 on GC. But Hildelts take 107 damage from a lv17 Grantz, while they take 444 on GC. That's 75% higher resistance!
Also, the ennemy item drops are a lot more random. And rare ennemies are just that, RARE.
DC ult is a challenge to low level characters. After a while though (around lvl 110) you only need the right weapon to breeze through. Well, Ruins is a lot harder than the rest, admittedly. Ruins are only "easier" around lv 130, I guess. (I'm guessing!)

You don't need any super weapens or god items. I did mine without any of these. A force is the easiest to do this with. All you need is a great mag (high level mind) and a couple super resists (and a couple DragonHP's if you want), take a few scapes and easy as that, you beat it! I sugest using club of laconium or Mace of adiman. I didn't use super items or anything like that. Simply kill enamies that you need to and avoid ones that you don't. It may not work every time, but once in a while you could get a good row of short stages, then go straight from beggining to end. Taking no detours. I did not use great items to beat this, My best item was 9 stars and weapons were also 9 stars.

Since we're on the subject: FOnewearl in Ult Ruins. I have a God HP which puts me at 635HP for lv 95, and I die on the spot if an ennemy makes a critical hit, except from claws. I have a Valiant Frame. (God HP, God Ability, Wizard Tech and State Maintenance)
50 MST to go until I can use my Summit Moon - I found one in Mines (Pinkal) while trying to open the Ruins. This Cane looks impressive!

I would stress the comment to bring several Dragon HP with you - having enough HP is the first condition to survive a hit...

First of all, it isn't impossible, just very improbable. But correct me if I am wrong, but don't you get like 5exp for the Daravants that Falz shoots out in his 2nd form? So did these people completely ignore the map full of daravants to accomplish this feet?

I made to ult with my hucaseal on lv 41, and then lv to 101 in 1 week in ult... how? I had a gush raygun 40% hit with full arm unit support.

my fonewearl got to ult on 39 ep1 only... ep 2 is indeed less exp thou... couple reasons... there are no 3 huge area stage like cave and ruin of ep1 on ep2.

I used Lv.10 to 15 Tech disks max. I used only what I found on the way. In order to beat Ep1 boss, you have to know where to move when to move. You can even dodge the bosses tech. if you run to the left or right of his arms. Do not go inbetween them (form2). On form 3, you can easily dodge his slash by running to the far left or right. After he slashes, you can nail him with techniques! All you really need is holy resistance, (about 30) then you could beat him easily. I only used what I found along the way to ult. It wouldn't be much of a challenge if you transfured items.

I got into Ultimate at level 63. I had been playing with my friends a lot though, so if I hadn't I would probably have been at a lower level when I got there.

It is impossible to reach ultimate at lvl 34, i calculated it and there is no possible way u can do it, just give it up,i got there at lvl 40 doing every level only once, i did screw up and take a few false roots but dont tell me that gave me an extra 6 levels??? for the most part i took the right route most of the way,now unless you wanna make a video of it and send it to me in the mail, ill have to see it to believe it,end of story.

Wanna have a laugh and some fun? My best is my Ramar at 73. My Hucaseal is about to do it at 60, and my Fonewearl did it at 80. lol. Well I guess thats just me being paranoid or most of my chars being 2 player.

i wouldn't have been surprised if me and Shadow's little "Beeez (lvl 63, on ult at 60) and P.N.O. 7 (his lvl 60 or something, almost ult) were like like lvl 50 and finally went to 1p and got the Princple's investigation lecture.

Alls I knows is that hunters start out sucking. I beat Forest ult at 61, but it was stupidly difficult. I did basically the whole thing with Dragon's Claw +35. My Ranger and Force, on the other hand, had few problems on it at lvls 59 and 60, respectively.
